That's great to hear I have an unused 10-day that I plan to upgrade in May for 2008 and a partially used 10-day that I can upgrade in 2009! That should save a bunch of money!
For the partially used ticket, keep in mind you don't get ticket price divided by x number of days, minus days used. You'll get the difference in prices of two MYW tickets.
EG suppose you had a 10 day MYW ticket and used 5 days. You don't get back half the price you paid. You'll get back the difference in price between a 5-day MYW ticket and a 10-day MYW ticket.

just an fyi: tickets can only be upgraded within 14 days of first use, so the unused is fine, however, you will not be able to upgrade the used one ~ hth

That's what I've read here and elsewhere. The only thing that made me question it was an article on TGM's site that confused me, but reading it again, I can that there's no mention of previously upgraded tickets. I guess I'll just use the 5 remaining days "as is" on a short trip (with no hopping) and buy a new one when I take the kids & grandkids in 2010.
If I'm calculating correctly, a DVC AP is roughly $375 and my 10-day base MYW ticket is worth $240, so the upgrade would be about $135. Does that sounds right?
