Ticket upgrade question

Visiting next week, and we bought 1 AP in order to get the hotel discount. We bought 3 four-day both park tickets for the rest of the family from Undercover Tourist. Universal price for the 4 day ticket and AP are pretty much the same. Can I upgrade the 4 day tickets to APs for pretty much nothing or do I pay the difference from the Undercover Tourist price to the AP?

You will pay the difference in gate price for the tickets and the AP.

Since gate price for 4 day and AP are the same, can I upgrade for free?

Yes, you should be able to upgrade the 4 day park to park with the power pass for nothing as long as the gate prices are the same. There are reports on this board of people who did that.

We had the buy 2 days get one free and was able to upgrade to the power pass for no additional charge. We did get one mid level pass and paid an extra $95. So it seems you only need the 3 day and not 4. This was for the adult pass. We had to pay $10 to upgrade a childs
