Ticket Upgrade Question

I have two passes from a Marriott timeshare demo back in 2000 that are only good at Universal Studios, not Islands of Adventure. I know the tickets are still valid because I've checked during an earlier trip. My sister and I are spending one night at the Hard Rock on May 1st. I have an annual pass. My sister will use these tickets. Does anyone know if we can pay to upgrade these tickets to two park passes? I didn't think to ask when I checked to make sure the tickets had no expiration. Thank you for your help.

I'm pretty sure you can upgrade but you would need to call Guest Services for a definative answer.

You can uprgrade. If you upgrade to a one day/two park tickets, it is usually free. If you upgrade to a two day/two park ticket it is around $45.

It may be around $10 to get the 1 day/2 park. I can't remember off the top of my head but it isn't much. But if you want 2 days/2 park, it is $45 or $50.

A piggy back question?

I have some tickets that I bought about 3 or 4 years ago, online, paperless. It was a deal, two adult, two kids, 7 day 2 park passes. I still have the confirmation number, and the original visa bill for this. I called guest services, and sure enough, they are still valid, I just need to go to guest services to pick them up (I changed visa cards in the last couple of years, so the card I bought them with no longer exhists).

Here is my question -- my kids are no longer 'kids' as far as ticket media goes. Can I upgrade the kids tickets to adult ones? What would be the cost of that.

It seems to me that the promotion I bought was like - buy two adult tickets, get two kids tickets free -- so I dont know if the kids tickets are actually worth anything. If they are not, then it would be cheaper for me to buy adult tickets online now, rather then at the park at guest services on the day that we arrive.

Hope someone can help with this question....

Thanks!

In the past, the free child's ticket was not upgradable because it has "no value." I'm not sure if that policy has been changed recently or not. Your best bet would be to call guest services and choose option #9 to speak to a guest service coordinator.

Thanks Phantom

I suspect that it is not upgradable (is that even a real word?) but will call anyways to double check. :thumbsup2

We have 1 day/2 park and want to upgrade to 2 day/2park, do you all think it's still around $45? Also, is it best to go to guest services early on or could we wait till later in the day?

If it were me...I would go ahead early on just to get it taken care of.

I don't know if this will help since your kids tickets were free but when we went in December I accidentally purchased my oldest son a kids ticket (he's 14 don't know where my brain was) anyways...it didn't cost me anything to upgrade his to adult because the 7 day tickets were all the same price. Hopefully this will be the case for you.
