Ticket upgrade?: Premier Pass, WDW AP, and DL Ticket Voucher

I read on another forum that I might be able to upgrade my WDW Premium AP to a Premier Passport at Disneyland and only pay a prorated amount for the remaining time on my AP. Is this correct? My Premium AP is good through 9/20 and I will be going to Disneyland early September. Can I upgrade to the Premier Passport and only pay for the 17 days remaining?

If so, then can I apply a Disneyland ticket voucher I already purchased from Orbitz towards that upgrade? If yes, then would I get a refund for any unused value? I purchased it right before the price increase.

You would have to pay the difference between the DW Premium AP and the cost of the Premier AP. Unfortunately, there is no pro-rated option and the Premier would expire on Sept 20.

For any level of AP at either DLR or WDW there is no prorating. You pay the full difference between the current gate price of the ticket you are upgrading from and the CGP of the ticket you are upgrading to.

I know that if it is a Dvc annual pass you get credit only for what you paid not the Gate price
