Ticket upgrade on 7 for 4 deal...

Can I upgrade my park tickets with my 7 for 4 package to APs? If I have it figured out correctly it would be about an extra $1,000 to upgrade two adult and two children 7-day base tickets to APs. Not sure they'll let me do it though. Anyone know? thanks!

I read here on the Dis board that you could apply the tickets with this promotion to an AP. I recommend you call Disney direct and ask. I hope it all works out for you!!!

I hope so too. I wasn't sure if they would still allow the upgrade since technically I'm only buying a 4-day ticket. So I'm not sure what my price difference would be between the two.

There were threads on this last year. The best way to purchase the ticket if you were upgrading to an AP was to get the 4 day non expiring ticket. You would pay for 4 but get 7 days of nonexpiring. There was a price difference of more than 100 per ticket. If you used the ticket once and then upgraded, you were given the 7 day nonexpriing value. I guess it will still work. I'm sure Cheshire Figment could offer more insight on this.

You're welcome. Maybe you might want to PM Cheshire Figment on this to be sure all the same ticket procedures are in effect. Like I said, there was a lot of talk of this last year when the offer was out there. Some even used the 10% pass along cards as well!! (They were a 10% discount card that you had to get from a current AP holder at the time May-July of this year - that's when it was offered) Good luck!!

It should work like any other upgrade. Once you use a ticket in a Disney turnstyle, no matter what you paid for it, it then gets the value of full-price Disney tickets. As long as you upgrade within 7 days of first use, then you get whatever that ticket was originally worth if bought at the ticket window.

Wrong!! I bought 1 day tickets (before price increase) and entered AK (like suggested) The CM refunded my 1 day ticket and then sold me 3 day tickets, I asked about bridging the price and she said that since I was on the free dining offer I was not entitled to the bridge. What was funny was that she gave me a free day because she sold me the 3 day ticket but I was never charged for being in AK on the first day of the ticket. The CM that handled my DD25's ticket did bridge the price difference. So it will all depend on the CM but I do remember reading a lot of threads where the CM wouldn't bridge to APs for the 4/3 offer earlier this year, you got the value you paid for. So I suggest going into it as though you are only getting the value of a 4 day base ticket. I am sure Disney has read our threads and closed the loophole. Just like you are now forced to buy either a 4-5 day ticket to get the 4/3, it kills it for people that already have APs since they can't just buy 1 day tickets.
