Ticket Troubles

Hey all!

I’m late to the conversation with this I’m sure, as an annual pass holder I really didn’t pay much attention to the change in the ticketing structure.

I’m currently planning a family trip first week of November. Due to varying budgets and different levels of interests in the park my party had settled on 3 day tickets to see all the things they wanted to see.

The plan was to do parks at the beginning and last days of our trip, with down days in the middle and a run Disney event midway.

The dates this is stating the 3 day ticket needs to be used does not carry us through a 7 day trip. Am I right in understanding here that if They want to be able to go to a park our last day there they effectively forced into buying a 4 day ticket? An extra $100 to be able to go the days they want?

If so, I am finally understanding how calculated this ticketing change was and am very disappointed. For what families pay to go down there (and as a long time Disney fan and defender) they should have the freedom to spend their time as they wish when they want to. <end rant>

Also, is there any way around this!? Thank you much!

Hmm...I was going to suggest looking at buying a 2-day and 1-day ticket instead, but it looks like that will at best break even with a 4-day ticket. I hadn't realized it was quite that restrictive on a shorter ticket.

I know it doesn't address the core problem, but are they getting their tickets through Undercover Tourist? They could theoretically save something like $50 off the base price of the 4 day ticket to soften that blow a bit.

yes the tickets have to be used by the 5 day after the first day used but Expired tickets must be exchanged at Guest Services for admission (additional gate price may apply).

You can add-on the Flex option to your tickets for additional cost. This would make your tickets good for 14 days after first use. It may be a better option financially than doing the 2 separate ticket purchase. You have to do the math.

If you purchase your tickets through Disney and are staying onsite (a vacation package) your tickets would be valid for the length of your stay. Since you are an annual placeholders to make it a package you would need to purchase same ticket. The 3 day pass could be used at time o f pass renewal.
