If I am buying an 8 day ticket to be used from the 14th to the 21st, do I need to have a ticket with a start date of the 14th? Those tickets are good from the 14th to the 25th. If I buy a ticket starting on the 10th, it is good from the 10th to the 21st. Both cover my days of interest, but the second one is $15 cheaper. (Sorry, been awhile since I needed to buy tickets - have been an AP for awhile, but it lapsed..)

You would be fine buying the less expensive ticket that starts on the 21st.

Tickets are good from a start date to an end date when you start using it is your choice but if you don’t use all the days by the expiration date you will lose those days. Of course if you don’t use the ticket at all it will retain the amount you paid for it but scan it once and it has 0 value on the expiration date.
