Hi all! :disrocks:

Ok so here's my dilemma. My DH and I are going to WDW for a long weekend, primarily to see the Osborne lights. We are also going to do MVMCP. I have some non expire park tickets that I have been saving up for a time when we needed tickets but for various reasons weren't buying any. My DD(she's not coming on this trip) and I both have 4 days left on those tickets and DH has 3 days left on his. These are hoppers. These are currently not linked to MDE and I really don't feel like I want to link them at this time. Plus, I'm not totally sure how it plays out after they are linked but not used.

Should I use those tickets or purchase tickets for this trip? We only need a 1 day admission for DHS.

This seems like a stupid question to post (even to me) but I've been going round and round with it and can't decide. I would like to book some FP+ so I need to decide.

I hope I fully explained that. :confused3

Link the tickets you need. Unless there are future one-day hopping and/or Magic Kingdom trips in the future, the. Any one-day trip is an appropriate use of a no-expiration ticket.

We are actually trying to spend as little as possible for this trip. It's very last minute and I have an actual vacation booked for March. So the funds are a little lean for this one. Using the tickets that I currently have is obviously the best budget conscious option. Linking them to MDE causes me to scratch my head. This trip I have set up on DH's MDE. My MDE has the March trip set up on it. DH is not traveling with me in March.

Once I link them to an account can I unlink them latter on? My thinking is that in future I might want them on my account or my DD's. Am I over thinking all this...cause I feel like it's harder than it needs to be.

I do know that I want separate Magicbands that are not connected to my old ones for this trip. Hence using DH's account.

Nope.

Why?

You might be able to link the tickets to your husband's account, and, after trip, link his account to your account. That way the ticket should still be associated with you, just under a different profile. But this is Disney IT, so I bet it won't be seamless.

Well that's sort of why. I want to keep things separate to be able to make more sense of it. Just how my brain works.

I'm still having a hard time wrapping my brain around this situation. I think I'm going to go ahead and link my non expire tickets to this trip but what happens with the days that still remain on the tickets? Do they just sit there until we finish up the tickets(which will be a long time the tickets also have WP&M on them with at least 6 days remaining)? How do I access my ticket for a future trip that DH doesn't go on if my ticket is in his account?

For the most part I'm loving all the new stuff...DME, FP+ ....but there are a few times when I causes me a little stress. Although, the stress does give me more time on the Dis. ::yes::

I don't know why people set up accounts for their spouses to begin with. But you did so you did. Does your profile on his account link up to your profile on your account? Same question for his profile on your account. You should be the same "people" so that it doesn't matter whose account you book under.

We have the one account, mine. Dh and DS are profiles on mine. That's it. But at one point something flipped and I ended up with two sons lol. Same names lol, but one had an age that stayed the same and one had a birthdate so the age was flexible. I realized that it was fine to have his more current profile on our trip, except that it meant he wouldn't be able to use any of his old MBs, and we all like swapping out the different colors. So I had to call the tech support people to get his two profiles merged.

It's the same concept in my head for you. You should make sure that you are "you" on your husbands account and that he is "him" on your account so these tickets can be used when needed.

We originally set up DH's account, years ago, in hopes of getting PIN offers. He does actually get them frequently....but we never seen to be able to use them.

OK, but you're also using his account.

Are the profiles on them linked? Can you see your profile's MBs from trips on your account over on your profile on his account?

(note: if this isn't possible, someone will hopefully let me know. I just assume that since I have the option of inviting the people I've created profiles for to join in, that if they created accounts that matched what I made for them that they would do what I'm surmising they'll do)

This is the first time using his account.

No, the two accounts are not linked in any way right now. For the purpose of not confusing anything between the Dec trip and the March trip I want them to remain that way for now. Maybe that sounds silly but it's the way I organize things....each in it's own bubble.
