Ticket Questions?

I hope this is the right forum. I don't see a ticket specific forum.

In the past I have always booked directly through Disney (room&tickets). This trip I am staying off site so I now need to purchase tickets. Should I do this through the Disney website? I know there are cheaper places, but I'm wondering what the "catch" is with those places. My trip is in April (Easter weekend and the week following) and if it is still a requirement to book a park reservation what is my best option? Do guests with tickets purchased through Disney get to reserve parks earlier than others? Or maybe that is tied to hotels?

Thanks for your help.

You can reserve your parks as soon as you have valid tickets linked to your MDE account; it doesn't matter where you are staying or where you bought the tickets as long as they are valid. If you are certain about your travel dates I would get your tickets sooner rather than later.

I am as certain about my travel dates as Covid lets me be. I am coming from Michigan so if they enforce a 14 quarantine (either to/from Florida) then I would have to rebook. If I book my tickets directly through Disney is it possible and/or easier to change my dates if that were to happen?

Doesn’t matter much.

Save your money and buy offsite. Once you link your ticket, it is just like Disney purchased.

You can change your dates. If your new dates have cheaper pricing, you will not get money back. If dates are more expensive, you will have to pay the difference.

I am at EPCOT today, staying in a timeshare, using tickets bought from Sam’s. Recently bought ticket from Undercover Tourist. As long as you buy from a known source, you should be fine.

have a great trip
