Sorry if this has been covered before, I read the ticket and package thread above, but still am not clear..........

We have a MYW package booked with dining. We are staying for six nights and we purchased 7-day tickets with the hopper option, expiring in 14 days. Now that I think about it, I might want to purchase the 10-day tickets with hopper and no expiration and save some days for future use. Am I able to make this change if I booked a package? Will there be any fees added? We do not leave until August 20.

And also, just to make sure, it seems like it is cheaper to buy the 10 ticket non-expiring now and save some days, then to buy a 7-day ticket now and a 3-day ticket next time we go. Is this correct?

Thanks for the help.

I *think* you can upgrade your tickets any time before their first use (that is to receive full credit for them). Yes, there will be a fee to upgrade each ticket to what you want them to be.

And yes, you are correct. It is cheaper to buy in advance and save for later.

Have a wonderful trip! :jumping1:

The ticket can be upgraded at any time within that 14 day after first use window, even after you have started to use it. There is no fee charged for upgrading but you will of course pay the additional cost of the extra days.

Thanks for the clarification GoldenOldie.

Thanks for the help. I just have one more question about the upgrade. I thought that when you book a package, your room key, tickets, dining and charging privileges are all on one card. Would I just save the card they give me then at check-in for the additional days or do they give you a separate card if you are buying a ticket for more days than your stay? Thanks!

Yes, you would continue to use the tickets off the resort ID card.

I also am thinking seriously about changing to a 10 day non-expire instead of my 7 day park hoppers, where would i have to do this and can I do it when I get to disney? Thanks!

This can be done at Guest Relations. There are locations at the entrance of each theme park. There are also locations at the International Gateway, Downtown Disney West Side, and Downtown Disney Marketplace.

I BELIEVE Guest Services can now also process upgrades. Guest Services is located at each of the resorts.

It can also be done at any vacation planning window. (I think that's what they're called now - those windows that sell tickets at the Ticket and Transportation Center! :) )
