Ticket question

Greetings Friends!
I have a quick question about the new ticket scheme: can you still upgrade your ticket at anytime? Say I buy a 5 day ticket and decide to stay a little longer, can I upgrade to a 7 day ticket? If I buy a 7 day ticket then end up not using the days, can I upgrade to no expiration? And do they offer just a park hopper pass with no expiration that does not include the plus features? Thanks in advance for any/all information you can pass on.

Jess

I am pretty sure you can upgrade as long as the ticket you want to upgrade to cost more the the ticket you are upgrading. I was able to upgrade a 7 day hopper to 10 day MYW hopper then finally to an AP on my last trip.

I currently have a 7 day MYW ticket if I want to add another day what will it cost me? Is it the same difference as on the website from a 7 day to an 8 day. I think it's only a couple of dollars. We were going to visit a WP on one day but have decided not to. Just wandering if we can upgrade while there and pay the couple dollar difference or if I should change it now? Thanks

Adding a day, you pay the difference between the respective gate prices, currently adding the 8'th day costs four more dollars for expiring passes and fifty one more dollars for non-expiring passes. (Adding the ninth and tenth days costs four dollars apiece for both expiring and non-expiring passes.)

The upgrade cost is the same even if you bought the ticket with an advance purchase discount, but on the other hand, you do not get to use the price differences published by the place you bought the ticket from.

You cannot "change it now" if you already bought the ticket (unless the place you bought it from lets you), you have to do the upgrade down at WDW.

You can add non-expiration any time in the ticket's original 14 day lifetime. You can buy non-expiring tickets without plusses and/or without hopping.

Do you know if I want to add the no expiration option to unused days, I have to pay this option only for the unused days or for the original length of the ticket.

I've got another upgrade question......

How much will I pay if, after using 3 days, I want to add the hopper option to the remaining 2 days of my 5-day adult base ticket?

I upgraded 2 adult and 1 child 3 day tickets to 7 day tickets with no expiration and park hopper option for a total of $166. With the new pricing you can't go wrong with upgrading. It pays to buy the extra days. Now here I am - one month back from the World - and I have convinced DH that we need to go back in Feb. Because....we already have the tickets! Yes!

Thanks Southjerseymom.....
Did you Upgrade before you used the first three days or after?

We upgraded when we arrived thru guest services. I was told we could upgrade at any time. When I really worked the numbers - I couldn't believe how much of a break Disney was giving us for the longer ticket length with no expiration. But look how it works out for them.....I have tickets... I am going again.....and I am bordering on becoming a Disney nut! Have a great time!
