Ticket Question

Hello. I have so enjoyed all the great info this board provides and hope it may help with a ticket question.

We have a 4 day park hopper from 1994. It is the kind where they were punched and stamped. It is a blue card. It has 2 days remaining. I know we will need to turn this ticket in at guest services and they will give us a park hopper for 2 days with the magnetic strip on it.

Previously, I have read that you can only use it at the 3 parks that were in existance when this ticket was purchased thus no Animal Kingdom, but I have also heard they relaxed this rule a few years after Animal Kingdom openned.

I have emailed Disney and didn't get a very clear answer. My husband is in Orlando on business and stopped in at DTD at Guest Services who told him to just take the ticket to AK and they would give him the pass there.

Does anyone have any experience with this or a solid answer? I'm afraid to get down there and have to purchase a park hopper at the gait. I would rather pre-order from Hotwire Savings before we go if that is what I need to do. We are cruising and will only have 2 days at DW plus MVMCP. So we will need to park hop.

When you turn in your old pass to have it upgraded to a new pass, that new pass will be good for all four Disney parks.

You should be able to hop with the pass you have (or will have once u exchange it for a magnetic ticket). I have a pass I won for a free day at either Epcot or MK (only 2 parks they had at the time). When I exchange it for a current ticket, I am able to use it at any park....don't see why you couldn't do the same!
