Howdy,

I was just wondering what type of ticket mist DVCers buy. Do you get an annual pass or a park hopper. I just purchased at SSR and I am unsure of the type of ticket to buy. I am leaning toward an annual pass bit I wanted to get some other opinions.

Thanks a bunch,

The answer will, in part, depend on how many days you intend to enter Disney parks in the next year.

There is no DVC discount on AP's or Hopper Passes (DVC members can get a 10% discount only on the UPH available at the resort), so the Theme Parks Board may be a better place to get advice about admission tickets. I'll move this over there for you.

Enjoy!

Absolutly agree on the number of "stay days" to be an indicator of AP Versus Hoppers.. I really don't bank on any of the "discounts" AP holders can be offered, etc.. never seem to manage to take advantage of them.

I have been using hoppers personally, I pick up 7 Day hoppers and use them till they're gone. Bear in mind you don't have to buy your hoppers from Disney.. there's AAA discounted tickets and other discount ticket brokers.. my recent favorite is www.ticketmania.com I had a great experience and got a great price.. they even sent me all the tourist propaganda for Orlando with my order. I stay away from length of stay offerings, I preffer the flexibility of the hoppers myself.

Also remember the hopper plus passes have 2,3 or 4 plus features that are distinct from your 5,6 or 7 day passes and also don't expire so be sure to use your passes all the way up before you disgard them.

Good Luck!! Bill

We buy APs because at eight days it pays to have the AP just for admission alone. Remember you could take two four day trips a year apart and it still is cheaper to have the AP. Just make sure that your second trip ends the day before the first trip began.

We try to take two or three DVC trips per year and we also use the AP discounts for dining, shopping, miniature golf and the resort discounts for tirps not on points. For us, there is no better option.
