Ticket question

I have a 2 day park hopper not linked to any name on a plastic card. Receive this at the end of August at Guest Services when I traded in an old paper ticket.
My question is I booked bounce back with free dining for December 2017. We are going for 8 nights and I booked 4 day Park Hoppers. I really want 6 day Park Hoppers. Did I do the right thing by booking 4 day and adding the two day when we get to Disney? Costwise?

What I'm worried about is I still will have to buy 3 more 2 day tickets since I only have the one. Also I will only be able to make fast passes for 4 days correct until we get there?

It is very, very seldom that using TWO (or more) separate tickets during one multi-day trip is a good plan financially.

What you want to do, financially, is to book NO tickets for the upcoming trip, but just wait to upgrade your current 2-day ticket when you get to WDW.
And, also at that time, book everyone else's full tickets.

HOWEVER, (and this is one of the many unintended consequences of booking FP+ in advance)
if you want to book all of your FP+ days in advance, you want to book everyone in the room (including you) 6-day Park Hoppers... and just HOLD ONTO your current 2-day PH tickets for use on a future, shorter trip.

Thank you the problem is I needed to book at least two days with Hoppers for the bounce back with free dining. The phone cm when booking told me it is the same cost to book 4 days and add on 2 days when we get there.

This is the smartest plan.
