My DS and I will be out there over presidents day weekend and I have a couple questions about tickets. We are staying at Paradise Pier but only have the room booked because it was done through travel site and adding tickets was not an option. What is the best way to get tickets? Should we just wait until we get there that first night and buy them at the hotel or park? If I buy tickets that way or through another service, will we still get the early morning for being a resort guest?

Regardless of where you buy your ticket, you get EMH everyday of your stay for staying at one of the DLR onsite hotels.
You can wait to get your rickets at the park or front desk, or you can get the vouchers earlier on-line in the event they happen to raise ticket prices between now and your trip.

I've noticed that Disney raises their tickets prices in May, before summer hits. Last year they raised their prices again in October. So, you should be fine waiting to purchase tickets when you arrive in February, but you can purchase them online just incase.

For EMH, your room key is your proof to get into the Parks early, so you get EMH no matter how you purchase your tickets.

It's really easy to buy tickets online from Disney. They send you an email, you print the tickets, and you take them right to the gates where they switch them out for the real tickets that work for FP, etc. You can wait, but that is one more line you'll have to wait in when you get there.

Actually, Disneyland increased tickets last February. I checked my email because I remember reading about it on hear first and rushed to buy my tickets before the increase. It was around Feb 21st. Parkhoppers went up about $10.

Angrose is correct. Ticket prices were raised in February last year, and AP prices went up in October. The ticket increase has not consistently been taking place in May in years past.

I guess there's no set date when they will raise prices, so better to purchase tickets now just in case they go up again. I have a feeling the next increase will be pretty big since they are building Star Wars Land.

I don't think there will be a big increase until right before SWL is ready to open! They may raise things a bit this year and next, but come 2018 watch out! LOL

In February they raised both AP and ticket prices. In October they made additional changes to the AP structure, eliminating a current type of pass and replacing it with two other passes all while raising prices AGAIN. Usually the ticket prices increase a few dollars per year. It's the AP prices that have been jumping $50 to $100+ per year depending on the level.
