My family is going to DL for the first time this summer.

First Question: I'm buying a 5 day park hopper pass. I noticed someone post on a different thread that they had a multi-day park pass with no early admission days. Do I have to buy a special pass for the early admission or buy it from a specific place?

Second Question: How exactly does the early admission work. Does it work like WDW where it's a different park everyday? Is it always have to be in the morning or do they do extra magic hours at night?

I'm also staying at a Disney resort.

Thanks

Certain pre-purchased 3-day or longer tickets include one Magic Morning. Not all tickets qualify for MM, including tickets purchased at the gate. The person on the other thread probably either bought their tickets at the park or they may have been some kind of promotional tickets that didn't include the perk.

Magic Morning only happens in Disneyland (Extra Magic Hour is more like WDW's EMH, in that it happens in both parks, but usually only one park per day and only on-site guests are eligible for EMH). DL's MM usually happens on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. For all intents and purposes, MM/EMH only happen in the morning (they rarely have extended evening hours, but those have been special events).

If you are staying onsite at one of the 3 DLR hotels then you will be eligible for EMH every day of your stay, including the days you check in and out. So you really do not need a ticket with an MM.
