someone gave me their ticket that has an unused day on it. Wondered if I am able to use it?? Do they have the fingerprint system like they do at WDW? Just curious...

DLR ticket expire 13 days after the first day it was used.
Also this is against Disney policy.

What is against Disney policy? The person who gave me the ticket works for Disney. I was just wondering if the tickts are linked to certain person like they are at Disneyworld. One time my husband had my ticket and I had his and we had a problem getting into a park at Disney world becasue the fingerprint did not match the ticket. Luckily we were together when it happened.

Disney tickets are non transferable. Read the back of the ticket.

And skiingfast is jut answering your question. It is against Disney policy o use someone else's ticket

You mentioned that the person who gave you the ticket is an Cast Member or employee of The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies. If it's a Cast Member Complimentary Ticket (in the form of a Disney's eTicket or a plastic- or paper-stock ticket with NOT FOR SALE in majuscule on the back or front), it can indeed be used by someone other than the person identified on the ticket.

Otherwise, as mentioned, all Disneyland Resort tickets are nontransferable and must be used on any and all days by the person to whom they are issued.

If someone gave you their ticket then NO you cannot use it, Disney tickets are NON transferrable, that means you cannot give your unused days to someone else to use. What you are suggesting is against Disney policy, this thread should be deleted.

Thanks. I guess i should have waited to see what the ticket is and so forth before i even asked the question.

Found out since asking the question it is an unuesd complimentry ticket not unused days on a ticket....

I was just worried that i would arrive there not be able to use the ticket and then have to pay a higher price at the ticket booth to buy a ticket since they are cheaper on disneyland website. sorry for all the confusion.

Use that cast member complimentary ticket and have fun! I sometimes do not use them if it is a better deal to buy a multi day ticket. I save them for when it works best financially. These tickets also expire, but they are good for about 2 years from the date issued, the expiration date will be on that ticket.

WDW has a fingerprint system, my God is it really worth that?

Why is it that tickets are non-transferrable? It is just a curiousity question so please don't flame me. I mean if the ticket isn't going to get used why not let someone else use it so they can go spend money inside the park?

Because then Disney won't get paid for the value of that admission. The more days on a ticket the less a ticket costs "per day". In WDW they are front loaded so once you are past day 4 it's only an additional $5/day up to 10 days. Disneyland's aren't as front loaded but as you add days, each additional days is less and less. For a park hopper in DLR it's $101, and additional $50 for day 2, another $25 for day 3, etc. So if someone buys a 3 day passes and only uses 2 if they give the 3rd day to their friend Disney gets $25 for a 1 day PH instead of $101....THAT'S why it's against policy.
