Okay, let's hope I can explain this well enough for someone to help me.

We have the Harry Potter package and checking in September 23, 2010. We will be visiting the parks on the 24th and 25th. We have Two Day Base Tickets, so I am assuming that is one park per day (in other words no park hopping).

I can buy Halloween Horror Night Event Tickets on My Coke Rewards at a discount. The night we would be able to do this is the 24th. This is the day that we will be visiting IOA and I know that HHN is at Universal Studios. Is the event ticket enough to get me in the park or would I have to upgrade my park ticket? We are visiting MNSSHP on the 25th and I already have my tickets for this. I know that these event tickets will get me into MK without a park ticket. Does HHN work the same?

Any information would be greatly appreciated as we are new to Universal and am totally confused.

Thanks so much!!!!

The event ticket is enough. It works the same as at Disney.

For MNSSHP you can enter the MK at 4pm with your event ticket but HHN does not work that way. The Studios closes at 5pm and reopens at 6:30pm for HHN and you MUST have a day ticket if you want to come in before the park closes. Otherwise you will have to wait outside the main gates to enter. The difference is...the MK does not close prior to the start of MNSSHP and the Studios closes prior to HHN. So...if you show up before 5pm on 9/24 expecting to get into the park prior to closing with just your HHN ticket, you will be denied entry.

So, what you should do, since you do not have park hopper, I would spend the day at Universal on whichever day I plan on doing HHN. And would just stay there and stay at the stay and scream area.

Yes...if you want to avoid standing outside the main gate line you would need to stay in the park and do S & S.
