Ticket Question:

We will be visiting US/IOA again this summer, but are only staying onsite one night before our WDW vacation. I had planned to get either 2-day park-to-park tickets, or 2-day, one park per day tickets. My DD and her friend want to see the WWoHP, and I figured we'd get 2 days of tickets, just in case they missed something on the first day; if they see it all on day one, they can visit US in the morning on day 2 before we head to WDW.

After looking at ticket prices, my question is this: can you use 2 days of single park usage in the same day? The 3-day, single park tickets are a bit cheaper than getting 2-day park-to-park, if that makes sense.
