Ticket Question --- Two Closely Spaced Trips

I have a question about tickets for two closely spaced trips (in June and July this year). My MDE account has a non- expiring 10 day ticket linked to it that has two days left. I am taking a short trip in June and want to use this ticket (only spending 2 days in the parks). I'm then taking a longer trip in July for which I bought a 7-day hopper (before the price increase, fortunately). To get my fast passes 60 days in advance for the second trip, I know I would have to also link the second ticket to my MDE account. I am paranoid that if I do this, things will somehow get screwed up and it will end up somehow using the 7 day hopper on my first trip, rather than the 2 days left on the old ticket. How good is MDE at keeping this stuff straight? I would just wait until I am done with my first trip before I link the second set of tickets, but if I do that I won't be able to book all my fastpasses 60 days out, because the trips are only 30 days apart.

Thanks for any advice you all have!!

Before you enter the parks go to a ticket window and have them prioritize the the tickets in the correct order. Before you exit the park the first day go to guest services and confirm that the correct ticket was used.

If you feel comfortable reassigning your own tickets to ensure your 7-day ticket doesn't get used by mistake, add a fake person to your MDE.

Before you enter the park for Day #1, reassign the hoppers to the fake person. After you enter the park where a non-expiry day gets used, move your hoppers back. Repeat for Day #2.

Alternatively, right before you enter for Day #1, move your hoppers and wait until after you enter for Day #2 to move them back. Your FPs remain intact because they will stay in your account for 1.5 days when your tickets are reassigned away from the account.

I would definitely visit a ticket window since this actually did happen to us back in the fall. Hubby and I took a trip to Clearwater and decided to go to epcot for a day-on the way there I bought a one day tix for him. We already had a trip planned at the end of nov with the family where fast passes were booked, etc. anyway at the beginning of November I noticed hubby did not have his fast passes anymore-come to find out when he went to Epcot the 5 day pass was used instead of the one day tix. It was a mess to get fixed and we had problems almost each day on the nov trip with him scanning in-so I would either create a second mde account or visit a ticket window to be sure it goes correctly. Good luck

Thanks all for your responses -- I'm glad I asked rather than assuming it would all work out! I really appreciate your advice; I would be so irritated if this got screwed up. The first trip is one of the largest I've taken (coordinating 8 people plus a 1 year old) and I am not the most tech-savvy person in the world, so it is already a challenge. I will probably have the ticket window folks fix this at the front end, and then confirm that they've done it on the other end.

Honestly, I love, love, love Disney --- and I even love planning vacations there --- but it is becoming so much work that even I am starting to have second thoughts!
