Ticket Question - MYW & Old Passes

We're taking advantage of the Free DDP in August and have purchased the minimum One-Day Magic Your Way Ticket -- Expires in 14 Days -- No Hopping. We each have a ticket from a previous trip with one day left on it.

My question is -- does anyone know if Guest Services will allow us to apply the cost of the One-Day MYW ticket and the Old One-Day Park Hopper Ticket to a new ticket? I realize we would receive whatever the cost of the original ticket was -- say it was a 4-day Hopper and it cost us $200 -- we would have a $50 credit -- not whatever today's cost is.

I know we could apply the MYW ticket to the "New" ticket, but will Guest Services allow us to apply two different ticket media to a single "New" ticket?

I've never tried to apply credit from two tickets before. Anyone have any experience with this type of a purchase?

I'm hoping I made my question clear.

Thanks! princess:

You can generally use old tickets toward new tickets if that helps you at all.

No you can't apply two tickets to a new one. Also I don't think you can apply old tickets towards new ones anymore either.

Good choice #1 -- Buy a new expiring ticket to cover this entire vacation. You may find it convenient to order the package required tickets that way. Save the old remains for some very short future trip.

Good choice #2 -- Buy a new 7 or 10 day non-expiring pass, provided its remains together with the older remains completely cover some future vacation you have in mind. You can order package required tickets this way if you wish, too.

Pre-2005 tickets may no longer be traded up. Partly used MYW tickets (with non-expiration) used more than 14 days ago can be traded up but you must buy non-expiration for the new ticket you are getting, a bad deal if you expect to use it up completely in one sitting.

Just check with Guest Services. Sometimes it depends on the person you get but they tend to be very helpful. We purchased tickets in advance several years ago and had to cancel. Finally got back this year but DS was no longer the child we had purchased the ticket for. I got several different answers here on what to do. When I went to Guest Services they bent over backwards to help. It was a special ticket with extra options that they didn't even have in their computers. But they made up a special adult ticket that matched the child's ticket exactly exchanged ours and didn't charge us a dime for it. Now that's customer service!
