hello to all and happy new year!
We are lucky enough to this year to be going to Florida twice- firstly next month where we would like to spend 5 days in the parks.. The second is in August where we will be spending 10 days in the park. So we were starting to look at ticket options,..
Bit of background info:
Our first stay is off site and our second will be half and half. (First half on site)
We would be returning to the world next July (2018) if not before..
There are 4 of us needing tickets-2 adults and 2 children
So my question is what tickets would you get?
My initial thought would be to get the 14 day UK ultimate for £289 (adult price) and upgrade it in feb to a dvc annual pass giving free parking in February and cover one adult in August. Having to buy another ticket for 2018. Upgrading the other peoples tickets in August as this would then cover them for next July. My thinking is that this would 'save' $100 in parking in February.
However looking into buying a 5 day ticket (or 7 day) actually seems to be working out more than the ultimate £289 ticket I can get-based on current exchange rates..
Has anyone found any cheaper tickets for less days?! I know the old saying is 'pay less the more you play' but we are really only doing 5 days in February and would like to cover 2018 with the annual passes as we would be spending another 10/13 park days then. Seems such a waste buying 4 ultimate tickets for feb and it seems strange that this is in fact the cheaper option!
Would you upgrade one ticket to the annual pass?!
If we bought 2x ultimate tickets per person and did upgrade one to an annual pass-would it still be valid next year or would it expire on the 31st dec?
Your thoughts are appreciated
TIA!
