Ticket question - expiration and adding days

I bought tickets on the WDW site - when do they expire? I know I have 14 days after first use, but when does first use need to occur? December 2016?
And can I upgrade/add days when I get to the parks like I can at Disneyland if we decide to stay longer?

1. Unused MYW tickets don't expire.

2. Yes, and you can add days as many times as you'd like (up to 10 theme park days, total) at any time during your trip (up to 14 days after first use.)

until they are used no clock starts on the expiration of them. and yes you can add days to your ticket if you want, at WDW you must have a day left on the ticket to add them.

Sorry, but that's not quite true.

You can upgrade as late as close-of-business on the same day that you have used the ticket's last asset ("day.")
