This may be a dumb question....but here goes..:goodvibes

If I buy a 3 day ticket, and we decide to add a day after we have used the first or second day, can we do that by paying the difference for a 4 day ticket like you can at WDW ?

Yes, at the ticket booths outside the park I believe. We are planning to do this first thing when we get there.

Yes, absolutely. As Abbie said you do this at the ticket booths any time prior to the end of the last day of use on your ticket. So if you wanted to you could wait until you leave on the 3rd day and add it then, but you cannot come back the next day and add the 4th day, it must be done before you leave that 3rd day. I've done this personally and it's very easy.

It's a little different.

1. At WDW and DLR if you use upgrade you pay the difference between what you paid and the full gate(ticket window) price.

2. Only at WDW if you buy the tickets at a discount and activate them by entering a park, and then upgrade you keep your savings, they upgrade from gate price to the upgrade gate price.

Generally this is true, however if you purchased your tickets due to a promo and the promo is also valid for 4 day hoppers you will get the discount. This is what happened for us in April 2011~

We wanted 4 day hoppers, thought we could get them at AAA, unfortunately the office only sells/sold 3 day hoppers (4 day were available online but at this point I didn't have the time to buy online) so I purchased 3 day hoppers. We added 1 day at the end of day 3, we got the promo price for the AAA 4 day hoppers so it was only a few dollars to upgrade. At the end of the 4th day we decided to add that 5th day, at that point since the 5 day hoppers were not a promo via AAA we paid the full difference between the 4 and 5 day hoppers, still under $10 per person. During our 5th day we went and upgraded to AP's. :) I hope that helps/makes sense.

We've purchased 6 day park hoppers through a promotion and we'd like to add 2 more days to them while we're there. Is this possible...can you get 8 day tickets? We won't be going back in the next year so APs wouldn't make sense to buy for us.

Yes you can. While the poster above got an exception, expect to loose your promotional discount. You will pay the price of a 6 day at the gate price, less what you already paid, plus $5 per day more to add on days. You can do this at the ticket booths.

Matt, I did not get an exception. The promo was available for the 4 day tickets so I paid the difference in the promo price of the tickets, you were able to get the discount at the ticket booths as well, we just prefer to have the tickets in hand so we don't have to wait in the ticket lines in the morning. As I clearly stated, when we upgraded from the 4 day to the 5 day we LOST the promo and had to pay the full difference from the promo price and the 5 day hopper standard price.

Cottager, as Matt said, you will lose your promo price when upgrading. That said, I was unaware you could upgrade to 8 day tickets, I was led to believe that the 7 day hoppers were as high as you could go without getting an AP. You may want to contact to confirm that you can get an 8 day hopper. :)

Yes you can get up to 8 days (I've heard you could actually get more, but that's not common). It seems like those that upgrade at the ticket booth sometimes keep their promo pricing and sometimes don't. The ones that have upgraded at Guest relations seem to keep their discount more often. (Could totally be untrue, but the threads I've read about this seem to give that impression).

OP, be prepared to pay the difference between what you paid and the gate price of the longer ticket. You may or may not get lucky.
