Ticket question, adding 1 night room only before package

As the title says, I currently have a 5 night package booked in August. I went through a travel agent. Long story short, I was weighing different options on adding Universal to our trip. The last plan I have came up with is adding a room only 1 night at Pop before my package starts. I will end up going to universal one day midway through the trip. So anyways, will I be able to use a park allocation from my ticket the first night if i havent checked into that hotel package until the following day. Package wiyh tickets is with a different hotel-Beach Club. I hope my question makes sense.

You'll have to go to Guest Relations with your package confirmation number and have your ticket portion activated. Once activated, you'll be able to enter the park and book FPs for that day.

I didnt even think about the fastpass part of it. Thank you for bringing that up. This sounds complicated I may try a different route. I wonder if my TA can book the extra night at Pop and move my 5 day tickets to that hotel instead of te Beah Club? I was trying to go the cheapest way but may have to suck it up and book one night onsite at universal before my disney package. Its just so expensive.

Early activating your ticket portion at Guest Relations shouldn't take very long.

The best option is to make Beach Club a room-only reservation and purchase your tickets separately - not as part of a package and you'll be able to book all FPs in advance.

Have you thought about staying at Cabana Bay(value) or Sapphire(moderate-this is opening in July) These two options are not more expensive than a Disney Hotel. Even the Royal Pacific is certainly not more expensive than Beach Club and it will give you Express Pass privileges. Cabana Bay is a good value option and has a nicer pool area than POP. It has its own lazy river. I don't think I would go to the trouble of changing anything you have in place right now.
