Ticket purchase question

Hi everyone!! We are holding our wedding in WDW in July of next year. Since our friends and family are spending so much to come down and be a part of our special day we are thinking about buying our immediate family members each a 1 day MYW ticket for Christmas. Since they are all staying for varying numbers of days, and for cost purposes, we can only purchase them each 1 day. Here are our questions...

1. If they choose to stay 3 or 4 days, can they just call Disney and upgrade the tickets we buy for them, or would they have to purchase separate tickets for the additional days?

2. If we purchase them online right now, will they mail the tickets to us so we have something to wrap for Christmas? (we have always done packages and weren't sure how this would work)

3. If I buy the 6 adult MYW 1-day tickets on my credit card, will they all have my name on them, or how does that work?

The tickets can be upgraded when they get there.

Yes, they will mail them to you.

There is no name on them. The person should sign them when they receive them.

If they will be staying at a Disney Resort, and you are purchasing the tickets as any sort of package, the tickets will automatically be encoded on the room key.

If you just order the tickets from the internet or by phone there is a mailing charge which I think is currently $3.00 per order. Best way to check is 407-W-DISNEY.

Any MYW ticket can be upgraded to add days and/or options as long as it is within 14 days of first use (even if all entries have been used). The charge will be the difference between the current gate price of the old ticket and the current gate price of the new ticket (plus tax).

The tickets won't be part of a package, because they get a room discount with our wedding group, so we are booking separate room-only ressies and then buying the tickets by themselves.

If they want to get the cheaper rate, can they upgrade them before they go, or once the ticket is in their hand do they have to wait until they are at the parks and pay gate price for the upgrade?

Any MYW ticket that is unused can be upgraded. Any MYW ticket that has been partially used can be upgraded as long as it is within 14 days of first use, even if all the entitlements have been used up. (If you had bought a four day, used all four, and decided that you wanted another day you would only have to pay the price difference between a four-day and five-day ticket (plus tax).)

No matter how much you paid for a MYW ticket, if you are upgrading it you will only pay the difference between the current gate price of the old ticket and the current gate price of the upgraded ticket. If it was purchase with any discount, Disney will absorb the differencee in price between what it wads originally sold for and the current gate price.

Final thing, is for any upgrades or applying of ticket value to a new ticket, only one old ticket may be applied to one new ticket.
