I have heard that a Disney price increase is coming sometime in the next 10 days. This is coming directly from one of the bigger tickets sales offices in Orlando.
I was just at the Disney Store yesterday. I was planning on buying my park hopper tickets once a month for four months, however, the CM informed me that ticket prices had just increased at the park, but the increase had not hit the stores yet. As a result, I went ahead and bought all four at once. I don't know how informed she was, but that was the information I received. Hope this helps.
Ticket prices did go up slightly on January 1, but that was only because the sales tax in Orlando went from 6% to 6.5%. So all WDW tickets and passes now cost 1/2% more.
The same tax rate applies regardless of where you buy the passes, by the way.
On our news channel yesterday, it was reported that Disneyland had increased their prices by $2 on each ticket. That was here in California. I would be curious to hear if Orlando is doing the same.
