Hi. I am planning a fall trip. I always make sure to purchase dis tickets early as they tend to increase ticket prices in August. This will be our first trip to universal and am wondering if they also have a typical month at which the prices increase that I should aim to buy before? Or likewise if I should hold out and wait for any specials? Looks like right now even with the $20 off deal they are still lower at UT.
I did notice that they do come with a coupon book. Has anyone gotten one? Are the deals worth the difference paid? (About $10 more if my math is on target.)

We are Disney AP holders planning our first trip to Universal this August in the middle of our Disney trip. If you live near a Costco, depending where you live you MAY find discounted Universal Tix there. I went ahead & bought ours several weeks ago as I didn't know how long they may have them. The deal there is 3 days of hopper type tix for $145 - and the best thing (for us) was that they're good until Dec. 2015! This means we can use 2 days this summer & save the last day for another trip and we have 3 years to use up that day. :thumbsup2 I was so excited that they don't have to be used up within 14 days like most of the tix you see.

For our trip a few months ago, I purchased 1 ticket online from US, just to get the coupon book. We were rather disappointed with the "offerings" in it and won't do it that way again. UT is hard to beat...and they are awesome folks to deal with.

(not affiliated with anybody...ticket-wise that is)....:goodvibes

The local theme parks tend to increase their ticket prices about the same time so if Disney raises their prices, Universal and SeaWorld will follow suit.

Thank you so much..that was all great advice/info! Guess I will just go ahead and get my tickets from UT in the next month or two!

If you have AAA, check their prices. Here in St Louis, AAA prices are cheaper than UT.

And make copies or something because if they are not purchased through Universal sometimes they are hard to or impossible to track if you happen to lose the tickets.
