Ticket prices increase Sunday

Makes perfect sense to me. The economy is in the tank, raise prices.
Respectfully, do you show the same level of irony with the supermarkets? Or clothing manufacturers? Or gas stations? Food costs more, cotton costs a ridiculous amount more, while gas is dropping a little it was just recently over $4 per gallon (well above the inflation rate for the last ten years or so). Why not get frustrated about the price increases for the things we need, instead of the things we just want?

well, I wish I could buy them today, but I can't,so I'll just take the increase and buy for next fall when I can fit it into the budget.....:upsidedow

I was thinking the increase would be in late July or August - not tomorrrow!!!! I am not prepared to purchase tickets yet. I am still hoping for a Y.E.S Program for the dates we are there. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed.

So glad everyone got the word out. I got the email from Mousesavers yesterday and quickly passed on the word to SIL, since we are both going in December. I didn't figure out the exact price jump, but wow! By purchasing with the current price at Undercover Tourist, I was able to save $145 over the new price from Disney (for 4 six day passes). :scared1:

The good news is, our trip is now paid in full, yay! Now we sit and wait. :woohoo:

ok,I lied.... I did go and buy them last night....I got DL tix, it appears from what I can figure I save approx 60 pp over new gate prices?:scared1: that is a hike and a half....probably less from online sources

I got scared and bought them last night thru the undercovertourist link before the price increase. This morning I check the prices thru UT again and they are exactly the same....so they were either already raised last night or haven't raised yet today. I was thinking I had checked the price thru the UT link a few months ago and the total amount was a little less than what I paid yesterday but couldn't be for sure. Anyone else notice that?

Often the resellers will still have old stock and will raise their prices a bit later then the official increase. This is because they sell the old stock at a price taking into account that they bought them lower. Once this stock runs out, they will increase their prices to correspond to Disney's.

There is no way to know for sure how much stock is left, so it would not have been a good idea to wait.

Can anyone tell me what the exactly the price increase is? Just curious what the one day, one park admission was and what it is now after the increase?
Thanks!

See the Ticket thread on the Theme Parks board. There should be new pricing there, although the old prices will be gone. On another thread, somebody did point out that once you get to four days and above, the extra day cost is $8, not the $5 that it was.

Go back to Post #4 in this thread for the complete price listing.

I do not expect that the sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in the TPA&S forum will be updated until tomorrow, so if you go to Post #18 there today you will see the older prices. You can get directly to the sticky by following the link in my signature.
