Ticket prices increase Sunday

Here is the new price chart. Within the next few days all of the information in the ticket sticky will be updated.

If we already have a package booked, but won't travel til August, will the rates increase for us? Package is paid for with 2 day tickets, but plan to upgrade to 6 day when we get there. Thanks!

Makes perfect sense to me. The economy is in the tank, raise prices.

Question regarding "Charter pricing". I'm a DVC member, but what's the difference between the pricing for a DVC annual pass, and a DVC annual pass charter?

THe only ways to do a charter pass are:

1) Buy the AP when it first came out and renewed every year within 30 days of your renewal.

2) Marry someone with a charter pass and purchase an AP within the first year of marriage.

3) Be a child of someone with a charter pass and by the AP before the child turns 4.

My husband just told me this morning, so I went to AAA and picked up the ticket. The woman behind the counter knew nothing about it...

I just received the mousesavers newsletter... and spend over $1000:scared1: on my tix. Oh well, better now than wait for another increase before I go next year.

1st check off the budget!

I read this is the 2nd increase in less than a year...:sad2:

Ack! This makes me nervous! I want to buy tickets now to get the cheaper price, but we weren't sure if we would be able to go next year or not. I won't find out until November when DH can take his vacation (black out periods - blah).

Well, it's the second price increase in less than twelve months. For the last few years - four? five? six? Walt Disney World has been raising ticket prices the first Sunday in August, and giving Travel Agents a few days' heads-up. This year they apparently fluctuated from that procedure

Ideally they won't go up again in 2011; even better, they won't make a habit of raising the prices every ten months  Um, does anybody know how Universal's and Sea World's ticket prices are doing? Usually those parks go up first, and WDW goes up in response.

Can you afford the tickets today? Buy them now. They don't start expiring until you start using them - and it's highly unlikely the prices will ever go down. If you're sure you'll be going to WDW and it's not taking money away from necessities, go ahead and purchase your tickets.

Not only will the increase not affect your package/ticket price, but if you go to the Theme Parks Advice & Strategies board and read Cheshire Figment's ticket thread, he explains how to 'bridge' your tickets to get more value out of the upgrade!

:scared1:yipes another increase? well I saw this in an email from mouseplanet today. Then I went to the market and they already had the higher priced gift cards for disneyland tickets out (kinda sneaky since the increase doesn't take effect until tomorrow><) I live about an hour away from disneyland so most of the big markets out here carry disneyland tickets in the form of gift cards. so if you are out here in so ca check the prices if you are buying tickets at a supermarket chain hoping to beat the increase.
was just surprised to see they jumped the gun on this.
