Ticket prices I have found...

OK--after some websearching, this is what I've found as far as ticket prices (note: I am only looking at "plus" hoppers, tax when applicable, has been calculated for CA):

Ticketmania: 5d--260, 6d--290, 7d--315

Paramount: 5d--239, 6d--286, 7d--301 +$15 shipping.
(I have been told that they are only giving breakfast vouchers with the 6d hoppers--others have received them with all hoppers. The fact that the 6d hoppers are priced proportionately more than the others may indicate that it is compensating for the voucher price)

Disney: 5d--263.07, 6d--295.02, 7d--326.97 +$3 shipping

Maple Leaf: 5d--265, 6d--295, 7d--315 +$4.35 shipping

Floridaorlandotickets: 5d--254, 6d--283, 7d--305 +$7 shipping

Walmart: 5d--260, 6d--285, 7d--313
(must be purchased at the Walmart in Kissimmee)

Connections: 5d--236.76, 6d--265.51, 7d--294.27
(membership must be purchased--$1 for 1 month trial, or $80 if you forget to cancel in time)

AAA: varies depending on location. Not found available in Southern Cal.

My analysis:

I am mostly looking for 5d and 7d hoppers--at this point I am probably going to purchase from Paramount this week as they are cheaper even given their more expensive shipping costs. I contemplated switching everyone to 6d hoppers to ensure getting the vouchers, but the 6d hoppers actually wind up costing $1 more than ticketmania with shipping (for my order)...still a good deal if you want the breakfast, but since we could do without, I think we'll stick with the more discounted 5/7d.

Hope this info helps...

I am sure it will help many, BUT...you pay FL sales and use tax on the tickets, not CA tax (unless you are going to Disneland). You are taxed on where you use the ticket, not where you live.

Don't forget that the 5 day tickets from Ticket Mania come with 4 plusses rather than the standard 2 plusses.

I did buy a 7 day php plus from Paramount and it did come with a breakfast voucher. I used it at Boma's.

That is not always the case, I think you got very lucky. :)

Oh, sorry, I thought that special was still going on as it hasn't been very long since I purchased my tickets. I didn't mean to mislead anyone.

Have you checked your local Disney Store?? I picked up a flyer for the plastic cards just before the price hike, But a 5 day hopper iwas $247 adult and a 7 day hopper was $307 adult. This was the Advanced Purchase Price.

It might be worth checking!

Well that would make sense. I just assumed the places where tax was added later were calculated based on my address, but if places like ticketmania already include the tax, it stands to reason it must be the same for everyone... :p

I think these may be the prices before the tax is added in...

What is Paramount? Do they have a website? Do you have to have some kind of membership. Info please!!!!

It is a ticket seller similar to Ticketmania. They have a very good reputation. Unfortunately, I do not have the web address, but, you can bet someone will provide it. :)

When someone has a few minutes, along with the website address for paramount, could you also enlighten me as to what the vouchers for breakfast are about and what the "pluses" are? Sorry for the ignorance, I just never knew there was so much to know, it's an humbling experience!

FunnyHunny - This is a humbling experience! I have a similar question...when my DH and I went a couple of years ago we got UPH and were able to go to breakfast at Chef Mickey's for "free". Now I'm trying to figure out which tickets to purchase for our up-coming trip. I would like to do a character breakfast, but do not want to go to any of the water parks or PI, so I don't know if I should buy the tickets with the breakfast option or just buy PH and pay for the breakfast separately. Is the breakfast a "plus" feature? PLEASE...SOMEONE HELP! Thanks!

Ok, first I don't have the web address. Sorry. But, I can fill you in on the plus options. The pluses are for things like PI (Pleasure Island), TL (Typhoon Lagoon), BB (Blizzard Beach) and Wild World of Sports. They are not like the hopper portion of the ticket! If you go to a water park during the day and then to Pleasure Island at night you have used two plus options. Or if you go to Magic Kingdom and a water park in one day you have used a hopper day and a plus option. You can not use these tickets for meals anywhere. Some of the places that sell them sometimes give you a meal voucher for buying their tickets. Hope I have helped and not confused you more.

GoofItUp, Disney made changes to their package. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the free character breakfast with a package. Instead you get pluses.

I learned this valuable lesson about taxes when I took a 2.5 hour ride to New Hampshire (no sales tax state) to avoid the sales tax. LOL. I was very nicely informed you pay FL sales tax. :)
Well, it was a nice ride.

Any pass 6 days and over has plusses, you cannot buy a park hopper without plusses for 6 or 7 days. The park hoppers without plusses only come in the 4 or 5 day flavor. They also have park hopper plus for 5 days.
The breakfast is not a plus feature, it is a voucher and I am totally unfamiliar with what Paramount is doing. There are many posts regarding Paramount on this site. If the "search" feature is working you might want to do a search using "paramount" as the keyword. Sorry I could not be more help.

This should help explain the plusses to you.

Am I correct in that Paramount's 5 day PLUS pass is only a few dollars more than the advance purchase of a regular 5 day pass?

Pam

RE: Paramount. I just used the link provided by 4greatboys (Thanks!), but I didn't find any mention of breakfast vouchers. Also, there weren't any 6dayPH tickets listed for sale either.
