Ticket price increases?

Historically when do ticket prices increase? Wondering if we should should buy them now for January 2016 trip. If we buy a pass for our son and he can't go, it can be used at a later trip as long as it isn't activated, correct?

There's no consistent date from past history. The last two ticket increases occurred in Feb. but prior to that, increases were more likely to happen in June or August.
