Ticket Price Increases

On the Diseny Blog on the Tickets, it said from Thomas Smith, they will not increase the price for the Premier when all the parks tickets and APs go up until Tomorrow. I would assume that the price of the Premier will still be $700 when it the new prices becomes affected tomorrow. If this is true it is good for me when I go to DL next week or October and upgrade my premium pass to the premier before I go to WDW in December.

Thanks. I just read the Blog and he clearly states that the price is not going up for now. This is awesome news as I really do love the price of this pass.

Another reason I bought my PH for my September trip early! Then again, the price increase wont affect the prices at my Credit Union until the next ticket promotion since they purchase their tickets in bulk in advance. Whew.

Thanks for the heads up, guys. I just renewed my premium pass online. $419! Ouch! I could have sworn it was *just* under $400 when I bought it last Sept. Still beats the, what is it again?, $459??? it is going to be tomorrow. :scared1:

but minus $20 dollars from that.. 459-20=439.. still kinda steap, but the full price

Now we may not be able to afford upgrading our GAD to PHs :( But if we just do the 4 day PH, it will actually end up $2 cheaper per ticket.

OLD price: $229 (4 day gate price) -$72 (one day one park price) = $157
NEW price: $231 - $76 = $155

But $30 more per AP??? I don't think DH will go for that :sad1:

not sure if this will happen for everyone but we purchased the premire pass with in a few days of the announcement back in march we were given 15 months verses the 12 mo. I assume this was due to the Disneyworld special that was running not sure if that is still valid. But my premier is looking better and better now..

You must have got the 5 for 3 then? I wasn't able to get that, cause we are going just after they expire. Literally the day after. :headache:

You are correct. I hopped on the price, could have got the passes even cheaper at LMT but waited too long. I will take what I got. DGF got her DAP in the nick of time. Next year will be interesting.

Yes it is. Man it is really looking like a bargain, oh wait I forgot no DVC discount so I shouldn't renew. (that last part was sarcasm)

For all you DVC members, with the new prices, the Premier AP to both WDW and DL is now cheaper than a DL DAP plus a WDW AP with the DVC discounts. $309 + $425= $734 vs $723 for the Premier. -- Suzanne

We bought WDW Annual passes in December and will be buying Disneyland Premium Annual Passes on Aug.15. I assume that we can't combine them now, since we want to have access to our Disneyland passes for a full year.

How would this work?

Just upgrade your WDW pass to the Premier. That simple. Of course I think the new premier would expire in December. Best thing to do is ask at DL.

You are right aan1701. I have talked to a CM about this before and said if you upgrade to the premier pass with your current pass, the expiration date will be the date of the original AP expiration date.

Question: when you buy through GAT, will they increase with the rest? I wonder how much the 6-for-4 PH's will go up? Current price is $195 adult, $165 kids.

HA! Well, duh, I guess that wouldn't make any sense for me: bought WDW Pass in Dec, going to DLand in August. I certainly don't want my DLand pass expiring in Dec!

I am not going to deny that $459 is a LOT to shell out all at once. Multiply that by a family's worth of people and you're suddenly in thousands of dollars. Certainly not something I could ever do. But I'd like to point out a "close to home" illustration..........

In our city, there is an amusement center that has a water park, bowling, go-carts, indoor mini golf, outdoor mini golf, and an indoor climb & play structure that shoots foam balls for the kids. The summer pass for the water park this year was something around $130. The rest of the attractions are open year round. The season pass price for the other attractions is $50 PER ATTRACTION. Notice I said "season" pass. In this case a season = 4 months. So for just the non-water park stuff, we have $50 x 5 attractions x 3 seasons = $750 per person for the year. Put in that perspective, and considering all DL has to offer, it kind of makes those DL passes look like not such a bad deal. ;)

The DAP went up $20 or $30 last year too. That is a big jump in just 2 years.
:sad1:We will have to rethink out commitment to the land since DS is quickly approaching the full-priced magical age of 3!!!

This is interesting.....this morning on Disneyland.com the increased AP and 1 day ticket prices are posted, but the multiple day parkhoppers are still listed at the old discounted rates. :confused3

Oh, and it looks like they left the gift card prices alone too. :lmao:

***Editing to add that it now appears that all the price updates are completed....

yeah, i think they are really discouraging people from buying APs...

that is a good point.. dl has so much to offer and does not charge per ride.. so our AP are really a investment! and yea u are right, my pass doens't seem soo expensive now!
