Ticket media the same from Ticketmania as WDW direct?

This may be on the wrong board, but here goes anyway. Does anyone have 1st hand knowledge if the actual MYW ticket media is the same now from a discount seller like ticketmania as it is from WDW direct? The PHP tickets previously were a paper-like material when bought from ticketmania, while PHP from WDW direct were more like a plastic phone card. Thanks!

I bought my MYW passes from TicketMania and they are the paper-like kind. My mom just bought her passes at the Disney Store and they are the plastic card type. I don't know what type WDW has though.

Thanks for the information...I was wondering the same thing. I really like the Credit Card type vs. the Ticketmania Paper ones...but....the price may gear me in the direction of Ticketmania this time. What was the difference in price if you don't mind?

Yes, thanks for the information. I just priced 4, 10 day passes with everything from both www.disneyworld.com & www.ticketmania.com. WDW advanced total was $1609, ticketmania was $1516, for a $93 difference. That was just a straight price from ticketmania without any click-thru from allearsnet.com.

Don't forget to add in the tax for the price that you see on the disneyworld site. It is not included in the price that you see. Ticketmania's (and most other discount ticket sellers') are.

Actually, the referenced disneyworld.com price includes the total amount with tax and $3.00 shipping taken from the very last step in the online order process.

Thanks DisneyBill and BethR....what great quick responses. We considered driving 2 hrs. to the nearest Disney Store to get them but $93 savings could buy a really nice sit down dinner.

In the past, this could not be done unless you purchased the ticket right there at check in. But with the new computer system for MYW in place, it is possible to have new ticket media purchased ahead of time added to your Resort ID. Note the keyword "possible" as I've heard reports of several CM's telling guests that they can't do it. But they can now if they know how.

Partially used tickets still cannot be added.

So true, I mis spoke. I was specifically thinking about mousesavers' monthly newsletter, but I had allears in my mind after just reading their weekly words.
