HI all we are new to this forum, but not to Disney. We find this site very informative and helpful so we decided to register. We are due to go on our next holiday in October 2004. We have seen on one of the links about Ticket Mania that they do a media package does anybody have any info on this as to whether it is worth while purcashing it now as they have money off vouchers and we wondered if they would be still valid. We did send them an email but we have had no reply. :wave2:

Hi Dave :) Welcome to the DIS!

I'm surprised you haven't received a response to your e-mail from them - maybe worth trying again.

I have looked at the package on the site and notice that there are several leaflets and Guidemaps which separately are free but of course, as you say, they have booklets which also include money off vouchers for dining etc. and there looks to be a lot of shopping mall info etc which may be useful. I haven't looked at it closely, but I'm not certain it would be worth it since you can often get vouchers out in Orlando, in cafes and hotel foyers etc . You also pay international shipping for the package whereas if you buy tickets from them , they often ship over here free of charge.

I have used Ticketmania for passes and would recommend them, but I'm not sure about the media package - maybe someone else has received it and can help?

It's up to you mate!! I looked at the Ticketmania site........

Do you want to pay £10 or so for a pack of brochures you can get for free in Florida ? There's nothing on their site that costs money......even their spiel about the " Orlando Area Guides " which " would cost you $2.99 - £4.95 if ordered seperately " That refers to the postage cost, the guides are free.

You're not going for 12 months so chances are a lot of stuff will be out of date before you go anyway. Also, you'll get better discounts for park tickets on the net than any free brochure will offer you. Try looking at www.attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk

or www.themeparkland.com

They always have good deals.

If you can afford to buy your WDW tickets and you know which deal you want there's no harm doing it now, because there'll be at least one ( probably two ) price increases before you go.

So, for what it's worth I'd forget it and wait until you get there to get current FREE brochures and guides.
