im sorry if this question has been asked and answered, i tried to search for the answer but could not find a definitive.

if i were to purchase an annual pass. then i would like to purchase a vacation with the dining plan so i book the package with a 1 day ticket. when i arrive at the park is there a way to remove the ticket from my room key? without harming my dining points? or is it better to just not use the room key as a ticket and hold on to it.

second part if i renew my annual pass by mail or phone, how can i apply the 1 day ticket i have to my renewal? is this possible by mail or phone or do i have to be on property?

Since, in your scenario, your room key would only have the single-day base pass on it, just don't use your room key as park admission.

You can't apply its value to your AP renewal by phone; it has to be done in person.

If you haven't bought your AP yet, use the value of the 1 day ticket and put it toward the purchase of the AP on the first day of use. That's what we do and it works well every time. HTH
