Ticket length and booking FP+. Want to confirm.

Apologies if this has been asked repeatedly, but I want to confirm some things.

Right now, we have 5 day base tickets (from a points program - not yet linked on MDE). The plan was to add 2 additional days to the tickets after arriving/using the tickets once for 7 park days.

BUT, if I wait to add the days then I can only book 5 days of FP+ - is this correct?

If yes, can I link the tickets to MDE and add the 2 additional days now? I'm not conerned about price bridging if it means I can book the FP+ for the additional 2 days.

Only 5 days of FP with a 5-day ticket, and the ticket must be linked.

I'm not sure the best strategy for upgrading, but you would have to do that to allow for additional days now.

I am not sure if you can even upgrade a ticket over the phone or if you have to do it at a physical guest relations location. That said if you are going for 7 days how many days are you going to the animal kingdom? I would book fastpass for everything else but for the animal kingdom there really isn't that much that you would need fastpass for imo that you couldn't book the day of

Appreciate the replies. I'll add the days when I arrive and see what fastpasses may be available. We'll also make good use of rope drop.
