Ticket help!!complicated...

I havent called Disney yet as I wanted to get your opinions first. Well we won a trip to WDW for 4,our tickets and everything are booked for Dec 2-9.It was to be me,DH,DD(2), my neice (13) and my new baby who will be born in Sept whom they put as a lap child.

Ok here is the problem, my neice is going to go live with her father and will not be going on the trip with us due to this and issues at school.So now I have a already scheduled/paid for plane ticket for her.

My question is can I have WDW travel change the ticket over to my infant and pay for the change?Will it be very expensive?If not what will happen to her seat if when I check everyone in and she is not there...will they sell her seat or just leave it open??We are flying Delta. thanks -hopefully I have explained it ok, I just want to be prepared when I call WDW travel later this week.

Here is what I would do....

Call Disney and see what they say. Chances are it will cost you. So if it is too expensive I would tell them to "leave it as it is" Then I would just check in your unborn baby as your niece. (If the baby is a male dress him in yellow LOL!) They don't require IDs for kids! If you don't check your "neice" in, they will sell the seat. But if you check her in then the seat is yours. So when you get to the skycap, kiosk or airline counter check four people in and your luggage (skycap would be good here!)

You know have four seats. Put the baby in the car seat (in a window seat so make sure you have one of those) and you are good to go. You have taken up your four seats.

I was just going to respond the exact same way as Carol... have the baby travel under your nieces name, otherwise it could cost you a hundred dollars or more for the change...

Wont they notice that it is a 3 month old baby instead of a 13 yr old teenager??If they wont I will just leave it like it is!

The tickets don't have your ages on them... All they do is look to see if the adults have ID. Since the baby won't resemble and adult....

Disney cares about the ages of the children on any reservation; that information only matters to the airline if the child is a minor traveling alone.

That is where you may run into something of a problem at checkin to your resort. Does your "win" include the dining plan? From what I have heard when any portion of the trip is "complimentary", the resorts are asking all members of the party to be present at checkin or portions of the package will be deleted.

Nope no dining at all, my tickets wont even be on my resort key- they are sending the 4 4 day hoppers as seperate tixs that i will be picking up at the Poly when we check in as werent going to be using but three of them for the actual win portion of the trip as we extended our trip.

Thanks for all the help!! You saved me a lot of money. Also I can go ahead and dress the baby in pink...according to the U/S it is a girl anyhow!!
