Ticket freakout

Can someone please confirm for me that if I scan my parkhopper into the Disneyland app and it says it expires on October 6, that it will infact roll over until we actually get there on October 14?
I am sorry, I know this has been answered on here but I cannot find it and I want to make sure I don't need to call Disney to fix this or buy another ticket.

You're fine. Literally all it's doing is showing you when it would expire if you activated it today. And it isn't activated until you've scanned it in at the gate. The app doesn't count.

Check it tomorrow. It'll say October 7.

You'll be just fine. Ours said the same thing and the expiry date will move ahead every day until it's scanned in. Have a great trip!

This for sure! I haven't even been impacted by this personally, but I have read enough people upset and worried that they really should fix it. Disneyland can be stressful with all the costs and details. Nobody needs to have unnecessary stress over wondering if their tickets are valid.

Same freak out here. Purchased in August for an October trip. Had the moment of panic, thinking we would need to do two trips *oh darn* then did a bit of research. You should see the day extended each day prior to first activation.

Right? This is probably the the third or fourth time I've seen someone be confused by that. i wonder when/if they'll fix it.

When I phoned Disney she knew nothing about the rollover. She made it sound like the ticket would just expire in the app on the 6th. Then I shouldn't touch the tickets till we arrive at the entrance.

sorry, last time i went we used paper passes and there was not disneyland app. what is the advantage of scanning your ticket into the disneyland app?
