Ticket expire date extension?

Since we have reservations, is there anything that we need to specifically do to make sure that the tickets can be re-used on a later date ( like call Disneyland itself and inform them that we want to change it to another date )?

Just cancel your reserved days online. As long as they are unused and not expired you can just pick dates later on the year when the reservation window opens for that time.

If I cancel the reservation on the Disneyland website, do I need to immediately pick a future date for the reservation?

I don't see an "expiration date" on the webpage in regards to the ticket reservations itself.

Nope. No immediate reservation needed. I cancelled my reservations for April. I am now in limbo until my May window opens up, but my tickets still show up as valid in the app. I will make my reservations in a couple weeks, when the dates come available.

Thanks Cindylieu.

I think I purchased the tickets in November or December 2021. How long do I have before the tickets expire? Is it another 12 months?

I’ve been in this nightmare for 2 years now! Bought tickets 1/3/2020 through last minute travel (Never again!!!!) for our March 2020 trip.
I asked for a refund November 2020. They said yes but I never got my money. We assumed they just never refunded and we decided to try to just go again this year but couldn’t get my tickets in my app. You have to have tickets in the app to make a reservation. I called Disneyland and they said the company needs to reissue us tickets with a new expiration date. Disney extended tickets to 12/22 or 12/23, I can’t remember. LMT, which is hotel beds, only communicate through email, which is very frustrating. I eventually got an email saying they did refund my tickets and won’t help me anymore. So now I’m filing a dispute with my credit card. My credit card wanted proof and emails and I got that to them but now I’m just waiting on them to decide if I get my money back or not. It’s $1600!
If we decide to go to Disneyland again I will buy directly through Disneyland. I wanted to save a little money so went third party but it has been such a disaster it wasn’t worth the savings.
We are in the same situation.

im sorry! It’s been such a headache. I just either want my tickets for my money and I can’t get either one right now. LMTC has been the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
Absolutely. Ours is worse because we don’t have tickets. They’re at will call. 🤦‍♀️ We are there for 2 weeks so I assume we’ll get reservations some of the days! 🙄😬

The park reservation mess for those with expired but not used tickets is just inexcusable. There is zero reason for Disneyland not to have a system in place to make a manual park reservation for people in these odd situations. Disney World IT was able to manually make park reservations for people back when not yet activated APs or something were having issues so it isn’t like Disney doesn’t know what the fix is. But making people buy new tickets is more accretive to the bottom line than paying IT to implement a fix 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wow interesting that you were still able to make reservations even though ur tickets expired. You said u expect to still need to upgrade tix before entering park. Do u think Disney will notify you of this if u tried to go through turnstile?

I really don't know what would happen. I'm going to try to visit the ticket office when I arrive in town (don't have park reservations until the next day) and see if I need to upgrade. I'd hate to get stopped entering the park.

Thanks Cindylieu.

I'm not sure about the expiration date, but I would guess if you just bought them in 2021, they won't expire for at least 12 months. I guess I'd say call Disney to find that out. Good luck.

I bought tickets direct from Disney on November 16th, and the expiration date was Jan. 12, 2024. The expiration date can be found in the email confirmation for the original ticket purchase, so I'd check there to verify.

Not sure when you’re going but would u mind giving an update to let me know how u made out with using these expired tix. I just think it’s great that u were able to make ur reservations! I’ll find out in March when my sons June dates open up to see if it works for us

I'll be there the 1st week in March, so depending on when you're going you might find out first! But I will definitely report back on what happens.
