Well, heres our scenario....so hoping someone can help me muddle thru this to make the best financial decision.

I will have 2 sets of 3-one day passes (each from a MYW package, one set from this trip and one set from last year)

I also have 3, 5 day park (and 8 days left for H2O), non expire that I upgraded Last year before we left (so we got the credit for the 10 day and thus have 5 parks days left and the 8 water park days left)

SO heres what I would LIKE to have:

Hoppers for atleast 5 days, ultimately 8 days would be nice...
What I am confused about is....since my non expires were done last year, can I add Hopper NOW to those tix (or is too late since it is not within the 14 days of original purchase)
If I can't do that...
Should I upgrade the 1 set of the one days to 8 days park with Hopper and just save my non expire park days(5) (using the DQ and water park parts only this trip)
Do I add on the one days NOW (my entire pkg is already paid off) or after first use (which will also be after the alleged price increase)
OR

Should I just forgo All the one days for another trip (which is fine with me) and then just go to UT thru MSavers LINK now and get totally new 8 day hopper tickets....
I am so lost and getting more over whelmed by the minute:confused3

My real goal is to have Hoppers this year with 8 days.
Can anyone help me to figure out my options and what would be the greatest savings overall?
I hope I was clear and someone can help us......
ANY help is very appreciated:flower3:
OMG, I just re-read my Own post and really hope I explained this so that you guys can figure it out. I know that if I get the answer anywhere, it'll be here!! ;)

The non expiring tickets you have are locked now, so you would be better off saving them for another trip (you can still use some of the water park options this trip if you want).
As far as your tickets for this trip, I would upgrade one set of one day tickets. UT tickets might be slightly cheaper overall, but considering the one days are worth $75 each I would upgrade them to get that money back. If you didn't use them now when would you use them?

Brett

I would also upgrade one set of the 1 day passes to 8 day hoppers and save the leftover 5 day passes for a future trip (using the water park options this trip if needed).

It makes more sense to me to use the 1 day passes you have already paid for and upgrade them rather than putting out more money for whole new passes from UT.

The price for 3 (adult?)new UT 8 day hoppers would be $845.85
To upgrade your existing 1 day passes would be roughly $658 (figured using this year's prices though)

Also, I would upgrade them now before the price increase if you can. Otherwise, if you decide to add it after the price increase (if I understand it correctly)you should enter a park with the un-upgraded 1 day passes first, which will convert them to the current gate price, then upgrade them. This should save a few bucks per ticket depending on how much the 1 day passes increase in August.

THANK YOU!
I am feeling so UN DISNEY not being able to figure this all out:confused:

I think I will take your suggestion on upgrading one set of the one days to 8 day hoppers AND use the water park options on the non expires.
As far as old "one-days we'll have from last trip, I'll just hold on to them....I know we're doing a trip next Oct, so between the 5 park days on the non expire and the one days...we're set for next trip too....I think....

(I also think I will be keeping this from the DH) since this was the "great deal" trip (air was covered, then we had the tix, and then we got free dine) that turned into
an 11 day stay, adding in a night at Hyatt/Mco, and now buying MORE tickets, :rotfl2:
Me thinks the budget was Busted:rotfl2:
But it is Disney after all..............;)

I wish I knew how many days we were really going to even hop but it really is so "unknown" (we're part of a grand gathering and the other family Just added Hoppers to theirs)...since we tend to hang together it'd be crazy not to have them......
Meanwhile, Maybe I should take a look at difference in adding hopper and upgrading from 1 to 4 days versus the full 8 (thereby using 5 days of non expire and winging it without hoppers those days)
Versus
Hopper for 8 days (adding 7 more to one days)??????
Hmmmm...not sure on how much I'd really be saving and if it would be worth it....
I am already thinking somewhere One of us (we're three adult tickets) would grab wrong set of tickets:lmao: Now THAT would really be a nightmare...so best be marking all these tickets with a perm marker....

Any suggestions either way??

Am I seeing this correctly?
The difference between an 8 day hopper and a 4 day hopper is 807 versus 843????

Then I would get "credit" for our one days at 275. for three tix, right???
seems crazy then to do 4 and not the full 8, right??

Yes, that sounds about right. The way Disney ticket prices work it never makes sense to use more than one set of tickets for a single trip. Pay the extra $36 or so and save your 5 day tickets for later. They will be worth much more if you use them for a trip of 5 days.

Also note that you can always add the hopper option when you're down at the parks. If you're not absolutely certain you need the hopper feature then buy non hopping tickets now. If you need to hop then go to guest services at the park and they can add the hopper option at that time. If you never need to hop then you'll have saved the $50 per ticket.

HTH,
Brett
