I posted this on the Theme Parks boards too, but thought I'd see if anyone over here could help me out too. Can anyone fill me in on the ticket distribution procedure for the Magical Beginning concerts at MGM? We'll be there for Dan Zanes. I know that we pick up the tickets at LMA, but are you able to request specific times? Are the tickets for the concerts going fast?

We went to see the Wiggles and Johnny and the Sprites while we were there. The Wiggles there was quite a line but we had an 8:05 breakfast so DH didn't go get our tickets until after we ate. But the ticket process seemed pretty easy.....they had it set up at the back of the park (I think at Lights, Motors, Action) and they let people in in spurts to keep the traffic spread out. I was worried about whether we would even get tickets but we still got the 10:00 showtime that we wanted. For Johnny and the Sprites we had a 9:05 breakfast and they asked us at H&V if we wanted to go to the show and gave us a ticket then.....we elected the 11:15 because we were afraid we wouldn't be out of breakfast in time for the 10:00. As it turned out we were out just at 10:00 and they were trying to get people to come to that show so we went right in then and the theater was only about half full. They were giving out tickets right in front of the theater for Johnny. As far as Dan - I don't know how popular he will be to really guess. A CM told us the Doodlebops were a total madhouse - but then this was their first time EVER touring in the US (at least that's what we were told). Our experience with the ticket process was really quite painless - I worried a lot really for nothing.

How do I find out who will be there when we are. WE will be ther from nov 29- dec 9th. Do you have a link? Thanks

I remember reading that which is why I was a little concerned about what the process was and if you could pick your time.

Ugh...you couldn't pay me to sit through a Doodlebop concert (sorry Doodlebop fans!). I have definitely influenced my DD on the Doodlebop issue. She calls them "creepy Doodlebops".

Magical Beginnings is a promotion that they are running from mid-August through the end of Sept. Basically, it's a marketing campaign to get the toddlers and preschoolers (and their parents) to visit in the early fall after school is back in session. Unfortunately, it will be over before your trip. I did read on a thread on the Theme Parks board that the Magical Beginnings Extra Magic Hour at Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom might be extended.

I SO agree with that!!! My dd comes over to the remote to try to change the channel when they come on. Maybe it's the clown-o-phobia I have, but I cannot stand them but I like JoJo!! :confused3

Have you seen the new schedule for Disney Playhouse after Handy Manny comes on? They removed some of our favorites like Stanley and JoJo and put another Doodlebops on. AND kept the Koala Brothers. (Is there anyone out there who LIKES the Koala Brothers???) I'm just happy that they kept Charlie and Lola on. If they took that off, DD & I would be :furious: !!

I was so close to starting a thread about this! I can't believe that Disney is shoving JoJo to 5:30am (CST) and putting the Doodlebops in such a coveted time slot. My DD LOVES JoJo, and I just feel like our poor little clown friend is being put out to pasture :sad2: . Thank god for Tivo!

I wonder what the ages of your children are who don't like the Doodlebops. My ds could care less about the Doodlebops about 4-6 months ago, but now...its Doodlebops or nothing! I think that there is a definate age gap on this particular show. My ds is now 2.5, and at 2 he was not feeling it at all. We here in NY get the Little Einsteins at 8, Doodlebops at 8:30, JoJo at 9, and Charlie & Lola 9:30. We think the Doodlebops rock, but have seen a change in the makeup-slash-face gear area in the last little while..and have also taken notice of how offensive and scarey they now look. What's up with that?? We would have loved to see them at MGM, but from what I read here the hype around the ticket distribution was insane. We will be taking in the Doodlebop show here at the Garden on October 1st. What Disney needs to do is get rid of that Daniel Cook. Wow, that kid personally drives me nuts. But seeing that the Doodlebops and his show are via Canadian filming..they probably are a packaged deal. Just my thoughts.

I totally forgot about Daniel Cook!! Either that or I tried to block him out of my mind! We are NOT Daniel Cook fans! He drives my DH crazy. Dh came up with his own Daniel Cook show..."This is Daniel Cook getting his a*% kicked." :lmao:

Thanks for the heads up about JoJo being on early. I didn't see that. I'll have to Tivo it too!

Wow! That is exactly what we do in my house :lmao: We sit here after the Doodlebops, and watch that little kid... and fight back the urge to just kick in the TV screen. Literally! :rotfl2:
We have made several verses to that very theme music, and they all include some form of bodily injury!
I don't know what it is that drives us crazy, but I am so happy to know that we are not alone. "He's Daniel Cook!" :teeth:

We got tickets to see the Wiggles, we went to the Thursday show. We got to MGM about 9:40, and they were handing out tickets to the 11:30 and 1:30 show as you were walking down the street towards the Hat.

Wow, maybe we're in the minority, but we love Daniel Cook. We also like the Koala Brothers, but we've TiVoed every episode and it doesn't seem like more are being made. TiVo keeps us from seeing Doodlebops...most of the time we don't watch live TV, but every onece in a while we do on the weekends and DS loves them :confused3 I could really do without them. We can't wait for Handy Manny - hopefully it will be as good as it seems it should be! I'd also love to see a full length Dan Zanes...I remember that the Wiggles started out just as little filler "videos" on Disney channel.

We'll be there for Dan Zanes, so we're excited!

We'll be @ WDW next week & I think new Imagination Movers will be there - all week, I guess Disney is really trying to promote them. I guess I'm so used to the Wiggles, I'm just not sure if I'm going to like them.

Anyway, as far as the lineup goes. I wish they would put The Wiggles back on at a better time (instead of 2 DoodleBops). DD LOVES them but I just can't find it in me to wake her up at 7:00 to watch them. So for now, it's the same Wiggles videos over & over. A few years back when my 2 oldest kids were much younger, there was Winnie the Pooh, that doesn't come on anymore either. I wish they would have some shows with Disney characters. I wish MM Clubhouse came on during the week.

Us too! I think I miss my Wiggles even more then my DD! You'll be happy to know the MM Clubhouse will be on in the mornings starting next week. We really like it too! I saw the MM Clubhouse playset today at Toys R Us. Too cute! Santa will be picking that up here soon!

I'm thinking it's Dan Zanes. We'll be there to see him too!! :cool1:

anyone know who is there if anyone on the 30th? thanks!!

I just looked at the brochure they gave us at check in a few weeks ago and it says Dan Zane & Friends 9/25-9/30

We saw Johnny & the Sprites on 9/2 and it was fun, the theatre was only half full - and I have to say, that Johnny is pretty darn cute!

We were there last week for Johnny & the Sprites, and after having read the horror stories here on the DIS about the long lines for tickets, we made sure to get up early, get to the Studios before opening, jostle for a prime spot at rope drop, and hustle to the back of the park to the LMA Fastpass area. The crowds were horrendous! The line for tickets was unbelieveable! Words cannot do it justice, so here, let me share a photo of us waiting in line to pick up our tickets:

Seriously, we did get there early and did walk quickly to LMA, but it was so empty that we didn't hurry all that much and in fact we kind of took a roundabout route to get there. We were still the first people to arrive for tickets. The theater was maybe 1/3 full and we got second row seats for the first show. We could have had front row, but it seemed just a little "too" close. Here are a few photos from the show:

It was lots of fun, the kids loved seeing someone they know from tv in "real life." And I didn't mind being that close-up either, I agree that Johnny is quite easy on the eyes!

Well, I just want to say that we were there for the Doodlebops and were quite happy. It was our arrival day, so we did not get to MGM until after 12pm.. The tix were gone by then (so maybe we missed the worst of it?), but the CM told us they had been letting in about 100 people from the standby line for the earlier show. We grabbed some lunch, saw Muppet Vision 3D and then were about 20 people back on line. We waited an hour. Still got seats right in the middle.

Well...Hellooo Johnny!!
He is a cutie!!

Glad to know about the tickets! I hope they will be just as crowded when I go for Dan Zanes! By the way, what's the easiest way to get to LMA?
