Ticket Deal Costco

Not transferable. They will be tied in with your fingerscan.

Whoa! I thought the fingerscan was only good for that day to keep you from passing the ticket on to someone else that day. I KNOW that we have used multiday WDW tickets that were first used by another member of the extended family.

So I have a family member who can go pick these up for us at Costco. When they buy the tix, the tix just come without names on them? Or do they need all info like everyone's name that will be on each ticket at time of purchase? Do they get "activated" and have your fingerscan attached to them at the gate? Do children also need to have the fingerscan?
Thanks, I just want to make sure we do this process right since someone else will be attaining the tix for us.

I got mine, you fingerprint when you get to the park. It is just a ticket. Looks like the ones you would buy anywhere. No names attached to them

You shouldn't have been able to do that. The fingerscan is to prevent people from letting anyone else use the ticket at all.

The ticket it totally transferable until its first use. Once you activate them at the front gate, they will only be able to be used by the person who used them the first time. They scan kids too.

Respectfully, I think the parks say the tickets are not transferable so they can sell more tickets. I don't think the database they would need to cross-reference every non-expiring ticket with every fingerprint would be worth maintaining. We have never had a problem using up WDW tickets started my another family member over several visits. Has anyone been turned away at the gate for using a 'non-transferable' ticket (not on the same day)?

The official policy is tickets are not transferable which means you can not share tickets. Regardless of the reason, that's the policy and if you were able to share tickets, consider yourself lucky. If you feel like trying this at Universal, be my guest but don't be surprised if your ticket is voided.

Thanks, Damo. :goodvibes

They are very strict about this. They make you sign the back of the ticket. If your fingerscan doesn't match the last finger scan, they make you show photo identification to match the signature on the ticket. It is a process that takes a long time. One of the members of our party forgot their identification one day and lo and behold that was the day that her finger scan didn't want to work. It wasted at least 45 minutes of our morning trying to prove that she was the person on the signature and they almost weren't going to let us in. Luckily her mom was with us and had some sort of proof although it wasn't photo ID. We could have walked back to the hotel to get ID but that would have been another half an hour. They treat this like a stolen ticket and it is certainly not worth taking the risk.

With us they took the ticket to guest services and ran it through some sort of system to check if it was stolen. That process was about half an hour. I certainly wouldn't try using someone else's ticket.

Wow, that's interesting how many hoops you had to jump through! I will consider this a warning to never forget my ID! :thumbsup2

Are these tickets usable by anyone? Is there any fine print that excludes residents of Florida? A lot of these deals excluded Florida residents since they have other discounted tickets.

When we were at US a couple of years ago my and my husbands tickest got mixed up, they were not going to let him in-lucky I was right behind him and we switched tickets and went on our way. Maybe some days the system is down or something and you can get away with it, but I would not take the chance!

I just got my tickets from our local Costco (Moorestown, NJ). It was $145 without any tax.:wizard:

We are only planning to visit one day this year and I could save two days for later.

OP - I read the fine prints and it does not restrict FL residents. It seems it's good for everyone!

Glad I read this thread! I was looking at them at Costco today (Columbus, OH), and I couldn't figure out why this was that great of a deal! I didn't think about an expiration date! I get it now! We are planning to go 1 day during our May trip, but we would likely be in Orlando again in the next few years. Wow! Thanks to OP for pointing this out!!!

I believe they expire in 2013 so unless you will go again by the end of next year this may not be the best deal for you.

It actually expires in Dec 31, 2015 so you have a few years to use it.

Any citings in the Kentucky area? I am here on business & could make a little road trip to Louisville if they are there. IF the day pass is true - I am not a member since we don't have Costco at home.
