We have reservations for 2 nights in August. My plan was to come early on the first day and hit the parks:) Check in is not until 4:00pm, but, will we still be able to use the express pass option for our day or will we have to wait until we actually check in after 4:00pm?

(Assuming you're referring to an on-site hotel) Yes, you can check in as soon as you arrive, get your room keys and express passes, and leave your bags at the hotel and head to the parks. When your room is ready, they'll text or call you with your room number, and even have your bags delivered to the room if you asked for that service.

And the express passes are good all day on the day you check out too.

Thank you:) Yes we will be onsite at the Pacific Royale - so we can show up early morning before check in and they will give us the express tickets? Is there any time that would be too early to do this?

You can check into the Royal Pacific as early as you like. They will give you your room keys and you will take these to the express ticket kiosk that is in the hotel. The kiosks are used to take your picture and give you your express tickets.

Get there about an hour before early entry begins if you are wanting to be able to take advantage of it.

my question is kind of on the same line. From what i have read- if you stay 1 night at a Universal hotel you get 2 days express. I am buying 2 days get 1 free.
But I want to make sure----if we check in late June 14th for 1 night- (dont want to use express for that day or go to park). can we use the express for the 15th & 1 other day we want to. will be in orlando 7 days but not at Universial hotel. kind of want to play it by ear on other day we go.

Your hotel related Express pass is tied to your hotel room. You must show your hotel key for Express access. If you no longer have a hotel key, you no longer have Express access. You will still have tickets to the park.

No... If you are staying 1 night, Its the day you check in and day you check out.

others have explained it to you but i will add on to it.

you check into the onsite hotel.
you take your hotel room key to the photo kiosk in that lobby.
you need that hotel key to make your express pass.

the expiration of your express pass will be the check out day of that hotel stay at park closings.

therefore, the express pass will be invalid the day after you check out.

unlimited free usage of the express lines is a hotel perk.
once checking out, you never longer are eligible for this perk.
