We are arriving late in the day and staying the first night in a nearby hotel, and we will NOT be going into the park until the next day. We will also be moving to a Disney property the next day. Can we bring our voucher for tickets to the ticket booth the night before to set up our 5 day park hopper tickets for the rest of the week even though our day one won’t be until the next day? Don’t want to mess up our 5 whole days.

Yes! I always pick my tickets up the night before we go to the parks, booths will be open until the park closes. Tickets are not activated until you enter the turnstiles.

Can you go the day before you are to enter a park and use your tickets and get your picture added to save time the next morning? Perhaps at Guest Services if there is a desk outside the gates?

That's good to know. Although I recently read on here that you can also save time by skipping the ticket booths altogether. Apparently you can present the voucher at the gates where they will issue the tix and take your photo. Someone please correct me if I misunderstood what I previously read because that's what I'm planning to do next week.

It depends on who/where you bought your tickets. If it's a voucher, you need to redeem it for actual tickets at the ticket booths or at the onsite hotels. They won't be activated until you go into a park. If iyou have an e-ticket, it will say on it that you can bring it to the gates.

As for pictures, you can only do this as you enter the park and it isn't usually time consuming.

It depends on where you buy your tickets. Everything I've purchased through orbitz had to be exchanged at the ticket booth. It is not possible to have your picture taken in advance, unfortunately you have to wait until you enter the parks.

Are you getting to the hotel early to get your room keys for EMH? If you are, you might as well just exchange your voucher at the hotel. The same person who checks you in can get you your tickets and it shouldn't take very long.

Thanks Rubygoose and Calpie! I have the Orbitz vouchers so I will plan on exchanging them on arrival day before our first park day. Glad I asked, I'll have my two elderly parents and 4 kids in tow so planning such details is important for me to keep my sanity.

It is good to know that they’ll exchange your voucher at the Disney properties, too.

Just to clarify, everyone who enters the park for the first time (on that visit) gets their picture taken at the gates?
