Ticket assignment question and possible problem...

We're heading back for a WDW/Universal in late May this year. We are bringing our nephew with us for the trip. My wife, our son, and I all have Power Passes. This past week, I ordered one of the 2 Day, Park-to-Park with 2 extra days from Official Ticket Center, an authorized reseller (I hope it's within the rules to say their name here).

When I ordered the ticket for him, there was no place to "assign" the ticket to anyone (nor did I even think about it), so I just assumed they would send a generic ticket (I also thought they would send an ACTUAL ticket, instead of a printout like I could do at home myself). When it arrived today, the printed ticket has MY name on it....I guess since I'm the one who ordered it. The terms below the ticket basically say that the photo ID of the person using the ticket has to match the name on the ticket.

Now, I will be with my nephew when he's using the ticket (which we plan on getting converted to a real ticket while there...the paper printout thing is ridiculously stupid), so I can show MY id. Will this be ok for him to use it, or will we need to get one re-issued with his name on it?

I've emailed OTC about it a while ago, but they closed hours ago and I don't expect to hear anything back until tomorrow at the earliest. Was hoping someone here had prior experience with this situation and could offer an answer.

I'd contact guest relations at Universal by email just to be safe, but I think you are ok.

I just looked at the 2 day 2 free tickets I just received from UT. I ordered the actual tickets. They don't have names on them. They do say "Nontransferable: Must be used by same person on all days" and "Entry subject to biometric scan". This sounds to me like as long as the same person uses the ticket every time, it doesn't matter who that person is. People by tickets for other people all the time.

My last set of tickets for the family from UT had my name on all 4 of them.

It didn't matter.

Thanks.

I've emailed Universal as well, but I appreciate hearing from someone who has experienced the same situation.

i think you will be fine.
UO is pretty fair to listen to the guests and believe them.
since you can show that the others have the power pass, it would make sense this new ticket is not needed by you.

have the ticket re issued in his name.
have him bring a photo id to make this go smoothly.

writing to guest services is a good thing to do.

take a copy of their email with you to do this exchange.

my situation is not like yours.
i took one of my sons with me to orlando in february.
did both parks and it was a good time.

i had complimentary single day p2p tickets that my son was going to use.
i have the preferred ap so only needed son to have tickets.

went to guest services inside the park and had him wait out by the gate.
gave the ticket to the TM and requested it be reissued to son in his name.

they did
took about 5 minutes as a supervisor had to sign off on it

they did tell me that once they do this transfer, they can not do it again if he does not use up all the tickets.
