Ticket and Magic Key Price Increases plus Magic Key Extras Announcements

My favorite time of the year

When everyone complains online...but goes back anyway. lol

Haven't been since Oct 2022, which was for us in forever. And I have no trips planned which is even crazier. I was thinking about two days in March during my kid's Spring break. But now? This makes me upset all over again. It's not just the ticket increase - I understand those happen. It's the extra $160/day (family of 5) to really do DL the right way - with FastPass. I'm pretty good at keeping my anger down, but this...

I love DL. I miss it. I'm just really frustrated today.

Gaaah! I'm over here not so patiently waiting for MK sales to resume. Going to buy them for one year to go as many times as possible before my daughter hits junior high. Well I'll buy them if I make it in the queue and get the chance to buy that is.

I would also rather prices not go up

But while some people really do not go, tons of people say they wont then go anyway

Until more people finally see the place as costing too much, sadly this is what will happen every year until demand dies down

There it is.

Disney finally crossed the breaking point for us. It was a fun and interesting 6 year ride of being pass holders. I'm just sad we only got to enjoy one true good year as a flex pass holder with a max pass add on. That was perfect for our family as the magic keys never really fit our style.

Now we'll go back to being day ticket suckers that do Disneyland every couple years. At least we learned how to do it right when we do go back.

Until then, we'll make the most out of our remaining 11 months. May have to squeeze out a few more trips next year.

First world problems..

I know we go to Disneyland next year… but I don’t know how many days (depends on airfare and hotels which vary much just before Christmas) so I can’t buy any tickets now for the old price because if it’s 1-2 days to much it’ll cost more… and not enough days wouldn’t help either…

But the whole trip will be so expensive anyways because I plan a travel to the Honolulu marathon and hop to Maui… (hopefully it works out this time… ) that the couple $$$ almost doesn’t matter…:yo-yo:

And I saved money this year because last year I impulsively bought tickets for the old price so I could do a unplanned trip this year just to use them…:santa: :teacher:

Well, we've been doing our part, slowly whittling our trips down from APs and 5 day PH to just 2 "tier 3" days (was gonna be tier 1, but recently had to change dates) without PH. At this rate, we'll be switching to universal soon. So, you're welcome, I guess? :confused3

Universal California is a 1 day park maximum. Good luck.

I don’t think anyone, certainly not anyone who is a regular on these boards, is surprised by the price increases.

I guess for me I wish there was some benefit for the guests that goes along with such increases. Tickets, food, on-site hotels, etc… goes up every year. Meanwhile it feels like crowds just keep increasing, ride breakdowns continue to be common, the parks are in a perennial state of construction, and perhaps this is just my family’s experience but for every cast member who adds a little magic there are many more who just look and act like they would rather be anywhere else.

The guests keep paying more for less.

I just want to say how much I love these boards. I just saved two friends money because I told them to buy quick on UT since prices went up.
Sorry, Rookie question as I have never used UT. So if you buy the tickets today at these lower prices, they are still good now and into next year?

They are valid until January 12, 2026.

Even if they expire, you retain the value to apply to new tickets at then current prices.

UT also has a 365 day refund policy for a 5% fee.
