We haven’t actually bought them yet. We will be buying them from AAA. Our reasoning is that our son will be doing the college program and there’s a good chance he will have some one day tickets for us to use by the time we go.

We bought our 3 day base tickets from our local AAA office about 2 weeks ago. In looking at the chart, I am still not sure what we will pay to add one day on while at the parks.

Since you just bought the tickets they are current tickets. The cost to upgrade would be the price difference between a current 3 day base ticket from Disney and a 4 day tickets (or whatever kind you upgrade to) make sure to include tax in your calculations. If the price increases before you go you will pay the difference between the now prices and the new prices.
