I was watching the 2/16/16 edition of the Dis Unplugged on YouTube and it got me thinking... I've often wondered why Disney has never invested in building Tiana's Place. I mean, it's right there in the movie, all planned out and just waiting to happen. Full of inspiration and potential, with a colorful backstory and a wonderful cast of characters.

In my vision of a perfect world, they would close down Tony's Town Square for a lengthy refurbishment and it would reopen as a glittering, festive version of Tiana's Place with upscale New Orleans ambiance and peppy jazz music. Perhaps Disney is using Club Villain as a testing ground to gauge public interest in Cajun food? And with the new stage show, Royal Friendship Faire, coming into Magic Kingdom to renew interest in the Princess and the Frog characters, could we be glimpsing the first clues of an upcoming addition to the park? Or if you don't think it would be a good fit for Tony's location, where would you put it in the park? (Port Orleans is the obvious choice, but I'm seriously hoping for MK!)

What do you think the chances are that Tiana's Place will ever happen? And what would you think of it? Would you eat there? I know I would. ;)

I'd definitely love to see it, and would definitely try it!

My question is where would it go? It probably would be best fit in Liberty square or adventureland but there isn't much room for it. Disneyland would probably be best because they have New Orleans square.

Now, Fultons in Disney Springs is closing in April for 6 months and is said to reopen with a New Orleans theme.

Love, love, love the idea of a Tiana's Place. Love Cajun food (better than Creole) and the music.

However, I'm not seeing this fitting into the theming of Main Street in the MK. (Not that Tony's fits either.) Somewhere along the Rivers of America would be good. If there were room around the HoP perhaps?

I think it would be a great idea....but like others have said, where would it go?

Feel like a broken record but I think it would be great but not sure the best fit (beyond New Orleans Square in Disneyland - though they already have Blue Bayou)

Also, I wonder if the lack of success with Skipper Canteen might scare them off from another menu that might not appeal to a wide range of people - or they "dumb it down" and tone down the spice level so much it isn't super authentic

Fultons would be kinda neat - though would they put characters there or just be more of a reference to this (via pictures, etc.)?

I love your idea and think it would be WDW's way of bringing a little bit of DLR's New Orleans Square to the east coast. I love the movie, the music and the characters and think the imagineering would be incredible!

Just wondering out loud here, so forgive me if anything sounds ignorant.....isn't Fulton's still owned by Landry's? If so - do you think they (or Disney) would incorporate a Disney movie into a "third party vendor's" restaurant - or - maybe it was a thought (and I'm misunderstanding) that Fulton's will come back as simply "New Orleans themed" and NOT connected with Princess Tiana? If that's the case - are't there paddle wheelers in/around N'Awlins, so this would fit perfectly?

If Fulton's were to go New Orleans, I might have to go back there to try it whenever i make it down again. I don't really eat much in the way of seafood (just shrimp cocktail, and fried shrimp, and not that often on either), and the times I went to Fulton's in the past to spend time with others who wanted to go there were NOT great experiences at all (both food and service wise), so this place has been off my radar for a LONG time.

Fultons's is operated by Landry's, but Disney owns it. I suppose the answer to your question would depend on the terms of the agreement that Disney and Landry have, but I wouldn't think Landry would be very amenable to a change in the theme of one of their restaurants.

Drop it in Diamond Horseshoe. They are apparently bringing it back for table service, starting in mid-March, so it might be too late to transform it to Tiana's, but seems like the logical location within MK. Would love a Cajun-inspired restaurant somewhere in a park or closer to the monorail (which might be the reason they have not switched something like Boatwright's into a specific Tiana's Place theme -- i.e., would people take the effort to get over there for dinner? I/we would, but have to assume they have looked at something like this and decided otherwise).
