Good Morning, I am stupid enough to be going to Disneyland the day Tiana's Bayou Adventure opens. From the past few attractions that have opened, do they open parking lots early or just at the normal time? I know its going to be crazy but just wanted to ask if they do things like opening parking early on days like that. Thank you

With them having so many preview days, it may not be as busy as you think. I imagine it will be a virtual que as well. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

The lots open an hour before the parks open for regular guests. If the park is opening early for Tiana's (which I doubt), then the parking will open early.

I believe that day is also the start of the holiday season. So you will have all the influencers there that day too, Buying all the new treats and popcorn buckets to show off in their videos and online. That almost makes me more wary of that day than Tiana.

I also expect it to be very busy but more because of holiday time kicking off then Tiana‘s…

I‘ll be at the parks the next day so I am also exiting heavy crowds…

Maybe I missed this or they haven't announced yet.....will we be able to get a Tiana's VQ and Haunted Mansion VQ at 7am or will it be like WDW when we had TRON and Tiana's on VQ, where you had to choose and could only hold 1, and then had to use it before going for the other at afternoon drop?

I just read this back to myself and it is such a horrible run on sentence. Hope it makes sense! 🤣

AFAIK they haven't said yet. Maybe someone going for AP previews can be a guinea pig. Get their Tiana's VQ and then try to get a HMH VQ. I assume it will be the same.

VQ would be both a blessing and curse for this ride

HMH can handle it it well and most people who want to get on it, but doing it with this ride would be nice because less of a line but also.....it just can't get as many guests in so many would miss it like ROTR back in the day

That is what I am worried about on my trip in December. Thankfully, there will be three & a half weeks to get all the kinks worked about and of getting others reports of how it is going. Depending on if it is LLMP or LLSP, I may have to spring for that.

Totally understand what you’re saying! And we are wondering the same thing. We will be there a week after Tianas opens. The VQ thing is stressing me out!!

We are there for a week, starting on Nov. 16th 😜. We were at WDW in September, so I'm ok if we need to get a virtual queue since I've figured that out, but I'd just like to be able to strategize when we need to go for a Tiana's VQ and when we will go for a HM VQ and it looks as though I won't have any data points to compare since we arrive on opening weekend. I suppose Tiana's at 7am will be the way to go and then go for a HM later at the noon drop. I'll report back after a few days there and see what we've been able to accomplish. At WDW, Tiana's had issues most days with it not actually opening on time, so getting an early boarding group was your best bet. We shall see if this one runs a little better upon opening.

We were there for opening day of Galaxies Edge & again for RotR. For GE all of us in the 1st reservation group arrived very early. And opening day of RotR we were in line at the front gates around 1:00am & there were many people already there before us.

But, I don’t feel the same hype around Tiana’s. If it’s VQ only, there is really no point to arriving extra early anyway.

There is still the fact that Tiana‘s is a water ride… and it’s winter… with splash you often got soaked…
When I went during Christmas time in 2019 GRR and splash were walk on rides…

Yes it’s a new theme but you can ride it at Disney world already…

I don’t know … but I guess there will be some hype and longer waits the first couple of days but (when I am there:crazy:) but I somehow don’t think it’ll last even to mid December…(weather depending)
I just don’t think a huge amount of people wanna get soaked in the evening…

It will be certainly be interesting so see how the crowd situation develops…hype of a new/reimagineered ride vs rationality of not wanting to get soaked when it’s winter and somewhat cooler especially in the evenings…

Not wanting to get wet in the evening will make the lines longer during the day. In the past, I've put on running shorts and flip flops and then changed back to my regular clothes after the ride.

I doubt that there are many Disneyland visitors who have been to WDW in the past 5 mos.

I'm aiming for either Oct. 29th or Nov. 3rd
Who knows, we may get a warm December?
So far availability is still open for Monday.
It seems for the evening times, you need to be in either park by 12pm and for the morning times you need DL to be your starting park.

I'm hoping to ride it on a preview day so I can enjoy the start of the holiday season on Nov. 15th without worrying about standing in line for TBA
